I thought Pettefer did alright yesterday, and i will add something maybe a little controversial, maybe not.

Personally Bentley should be on the bench.
I would have the midfield like this:

Nicolau Maher Pettefer Gower

for me bentley's touch is not good enough and he gives away too many free kicks.
Pettefer is not a natural wide player and we used that midfield at Mansfield where i thought it worked well.

After cardiff last year i didnt think we would see him in a blues shirt again nor did i want to. But fair play to him as they say the boys done good.

Pettefer doesn't play as a winger because he isn't asked to. He plays right midfield, Gower plays left midfield. We don't play with wingers and rightly so because they don't get into the game enough and are usually quite inconsistent.

Don't you think that midfield is a bit small and lacking physical presence?

If football was a non-contact sport and the no balls above head high was introduced, that midfield would be good, but otherwise we'll just get bullied out of it.

Also, it is a tactical ploy playing Petts on the right-wing, as he can drift inside and make it 3 in central midfield. This has helped win us the midfield battle on a fair few occasions this year.

I always had doubts about him, and infact i really did not like him, but especially in the last 3-4 months, Super Cheese Wilson has improved so much, and deserves all the praise he gets!
