Breaking News Support The Team Not The Regime! New update 24/11

One of the problems discussed last evening was the players GPS which they do not have at the moment due to not having money to pay for the subscription. Kev said it was very important for the Manager and playing staff to access the players. That alone is about 12 k a year, so you can see how funds get used up at the club..

The collection will be overseen by The Trust where all future decisions will be made in conjunction with all groups of fans.. We as supporter groups have just got 100% behind this all.

Lots was taked about last evening the main point i guess being that TL lives by the day when it comes to paying anything, whatever money comes in is then in a priority queue of who gets paid and who doesn't. The first team and staff are in a bubble of their own when it comes to payments.

If you have any questions about what was talked about last night, fire away at me and i will try to answer them. Other Zoners were also there, so i am sure they can answer some questions if we have the answer of course.

What was Tom’s overall thoughts on the situation? Does he believe it’s close to being resolved “weeks not months” to use his statement? Or does he admit to being clueless of next steps and just prays something comes up?

When is the next bag of money due from the development? Will this then set us free or just cover for a month or two?

Are the club open to being financed by investors or just happy to take handouts?

Why has the first team been ring fenced?

Hi, i am answering what i can in this thread. https://www.shrimperzone.com/forums/threads/shrimpers-trust-agm.113065/

Having read through the thread, nobody has picked up on one important point, which is, what happens if (or more likely when) the staff who keep this club running on a matchday, finally have enough and decide to go on strike and/or quit?

With no stewards/security, games can’t go ahead and you can forget about recruiting new staff, or even trying to drag agency staff in for it.

I can’t recall which game, but I was told around 6-8 weeks ago, a lot of matchday staff hadn’t shown up and the game was in jeopardy. We probably aren’t far away from this occurring again, but on a far larger scale.

I don’t look at these donations as bailing out Ron, I look at this as our way of saying thank you to the hard working folks behind the scenes, many of which are doing it because they are fans just like us. In fact, they are us.

I will be donating in due course (payday), not for Martin’s benefit, but for those who continue to make the effort for each and every one of us.

That's turnover not profit. If the outgoings are 8 million then it's not viable. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.

why do people repeat this ... ??

the point is that there is a strong revenue stream and with proper management a club should be able to survive.

If the turnover was say 2 million I could understand why there is a struggle to run a club.

Surely these matters should be brought to the attention of the National League so that they can take appropriate action
Absolutely correct with that . Our sponsors/advertisers group have submitted a 4-page summary to National League chiefs setting out exactly what has been happening at the club in respect of the unpaid wages to staff . We have asked them to take swift remedial action against the club . The letter has been with them for a number of weeks and as yet we have not received a formal reply . It could be they were waiting to see the outcome of the winding- up petition . I will get back to you when we do get that reply .

Out of interest, what 'remedial' action are you hoping that the NL take? Just a fine or are you looking for a points deduction too...?

just curious, what happens next time Ron don’t pay someone.. ? This cannot continue. Maybe we should be paying his tax bill.. and we take ownership

You absolutely cannot trust the National League to make correct, significant decisions on the future of their member clubs. It is an absolute joke of an outfit, although I do appreciate the desire for transparency and strong desire to get Ron Martin out of the club.

Is it just October pay that is due or September too?
I believe "some" are waiting for "some" of their September salary.

October salaries are outstanding for "most" of the non-playing staff.

We are 2 weeks away from November salaries being due as well.

In short, Tom has been left up **** creek without a paddle. As for the staff, well there are no words unfortunately.
