He did play under Malpas in the scottish u21 so that might have a bearing. We should, imo, stump up the 150k and get him signed up as Malpas reckons he will have lodged a bid by Friday

Amen to that. Have faith people. There's still plenty of time left this transfer window and I have every confidence that Tilly and Ron will be signing up the players we need and, moreover, can afford. There's probably more to the Mulgrew deal than we are aware of but if we can afford him, we'll sign him up. We're probably trying to lower the fee as it is good business to do so, but I believe we'll pay up eventually if it looks as though we risk missing out on him.

I am sure having seen Swindons defence he knows that is not going to happen. The massive black bloke at the back possibly the worst player I have ever seen and the balding right back cant even pass over 5 yards.....
