“@SUFCRootsHall: Our postponed game against Swindon Town originally scheduled for Saturday 28th January has been re-arranged for Tuesday 31st January.”

“@SUFCRootsHall: That means Aldershot Town away will now be played on Tuesday, 21st February.”

Sounds like we are cashing in on both Swindon & us riding high, and expecting a bumper crowd. £££'sss

No i have to re book that early finish from work for Aldershot!

Superb bit of work there.

Means we get 9 days rest, where as Swindon get 2.

Plus breaks up the sequence of away games and gets some money in.

Apart from the messing about re arranging work think its brill need to get this one out of the way while things are going well and should still have the loan striker :winking:

Income from a home game in Jan.

Sampson still on loan to us.

We have a weekend's rest - Swindon don't.

Sure works for me, someone have been astute - well done

great move by the club IMO.

That said, i'd have moved the Aldershot game to 1pm in the middle of June just to make sure floodlights don't come into it again!

Why couldn't we play Swindon on Tuesday 21st February?
In addition to all of the other reasons in this thread which I think play to our interests very well indeed, a strong one towards the league would be that Swindon have 2 cup competitions still on the go so are more likely to possibly have another clash on 21st Feb, whereas Aldershot don't. It's therefore a more reliable way round to have the fixtures, to prevent the possibility of further fixture postponement.

Half day booked for 31st January now wasted, in Chelmsford all day on 21st February on a course, looks like I'm only going to see 45 minutes at Aldershot!

Unfortunately, it doesn't really help me very much, there again I don't suppose I was a major consideration when it came to re-arranging this match. Looks as though it is going to be difficult to book a trip back enabling me to take in two matches, without a very long away day. With that in mind could some one be kind enough to inform of the game which will clinch our promotion, so that I can book my flight accordingly...............ta very much!

Wife due to give birth that day. Let's hope it's not born that day else I'm gonna have to come up with a hell of an excuse
