Controversial i know but we cant let the cup effect the league momentum we are building up and besides all of the above are being paid by the club and some are not getting a chance to play. Play them and let them earn there keep and a chance of first team action. Admitedly there are some first teamers in the squad , but there needs to be with the numbers we have and the reserve keeper being just a kid at the moment. Am i the only one who could do without another journey to spurs?

Think I would swap hunt for Francis and Daryl for Welch.
That would a technically capable side of winning.
I too won't be going to Spurs again!! At least not on the coaches!

Apart from the annoying wait i thought the coaches didn't have a bad deal getting escorted out by police, if them people got back to the coach on time then we would had been away quicker.

I would reconment going on the coaches myself ?

but not the supreme coach that broke down at rayleigh station

i think thats a strong team... remember it worked in our last cup adventuer to the finals... playing a weakened team that is... wasnt it LUton and qpr that got turned over?

Works two ways, if the first team went up there and won it adds to the momentum and gives one of our league rival's confidence a battering at the same time.
After all it would be nice to go into Saturdays game on the back of 3 wins in a row.

I cant see Tilson not taking a team to win the match but the team quoted isnt too bad anyway.

Pretty much the team quoted was bad enough to lose to Col******r's youth team last Tuesday and get slated by Paul Brush for not wanting it enough to play for the first team.

I'd rather send a strong team, beat the Tykes, shatter their confidence and go back to White Hart Lane for revenge, ta very much.

Agreed - and try to trouser the dosh for getting to the next round if at all possible.

Win on Tuesday and we could probably afford to up the stakes in the Scott McDonald transfer saga...

First time we've got back-to-back league wins? We have to keep that going as best as we can.

First time we have got back-to-back wins in this League for two seasons; the last time it happened was January 27th/February 3rd 1996.

That's half of 1995-96, all of 1996-97 and half of 2006-07.

Sorry to pick on you Ljubljana (sorry if that's mis spelt) as a lot of people have said it, but I think we would earn a lot more money if we had next season in the championship then have one game against scummy spurs. I would play reserves, I really couldn't care less about going through the cup, and we really, really need to concentrate on what is quite simply a must win game against Derby, we can't go into that game having played 90/120 physically and mentally draining minutes just to play Spurs in the next round. We need to be mentally and physically right to win the important game, the game that really is worth more money to Martin long-term. I'm not saying break a winning run, but we haven't really been on a fully winning run as there was a sickening Barnsley game in the middle, and that blow did not affect our confidence going into the Cardiff game. Sorry, I've babbled a little, but I really don't think we can afford to play our first team for this game.

But the best thing the players can do to be mentally right for the Derby game would be to have another win under their belt.
