any thoughts on a par score on this track? definitely isn't sounding great for the batsmen, and it's only gonna get worse. Short boundary should help KP, Prior and Flintoff push on... I'd be happy with 300

funny little 2005 Ashes quiz... I shocked myself completely by getting 8/10. sure some of you'll get 10

Damn it! Misread question 8, didn't think it was over a entire match. 9/10.

Looks like KP's settled down a tad now.

Did try and find a sauce pun to use but no luck.

Ooh spooky stuff

Collingwood and Pietersen are both 23* from 55 balls with 2 4s

again, any thoughts on what would be a good score?

Not heard what the commentators have said, but often you can't tell until both teams have batted, especially where there is no real history of the ground to go on.

That said, 350 minimum when batting first gives you the chance of getting away with something from the game. If it's a duff pitch that would be a decent score, if its a belter then the time taken for the opposition to rack up 550+ should give you a chance to get away with a draw.

Personally, I'd be looking to build on this steady play and put together a score of around 370-400... Colly and KP look settled and we still have Prior and Flintoff to come who can bat.

400, with the pitch deteriorating, would put the Aussies under the kosh a bit.

What was he playing at? That's the one thing about KP... He tries too hard to smash massive totals and just ends up looking like a ****.

not what was needed at all

Geoff Boycott said:
"The ball was drifting further away from him - it wasn't an off-spinner. Hauritz doesn't look like he could bowl my mum out then he gets the best batsman out. Well, he got himself out the dozy so-and-so."

Boycott tells it how it is
