If we don't go up next season then it is highly probable that Sturrock will leave. However, I feel we should at least start the season before discussing this.

That's why he'll probably go. Discussing just seems fairly pointless...

i know what you mean but he is proven in the lower leagues and has had 2 years now and look where we are.

Are you for real, when he came in we had suffered relegation under Tilly, albeit difficult circumstances, started the job with 5 players signed on and 3 weeks before the season started, he completely rebuilt the team and finished a credible 13th and this year just missed out on promotion whilst improving the squad further. How can anyone be questioning whether he should be here or not at the end of next season, give the guy a break.

there were a lot of rumblings on here last season about GC going to Plymouth. If he was a realistic target then make him our manger now with NH as player/coach. That would free up the current managers dosh for bringing in players.

Yes. In his first season he did well under tremendously difficult circumstances. last season was a clean sheet beginning with none of the previous problems and a myriad of players brought in by him to do the job. He failed. Move on.

What are you basing this opinion on though? You've made yourself perfectly clear that you don't like our style of play, however you've given no indication as to why you think that Coughlan will be able to get us promoted where Sturrock can't.

And t meister I'd appreciate if you could explain why you'd get rid of Sturrock if he did manage to get us promoted.

Exactly.

Lets ditch a manager who got us to 1 point of promotion, has experience of promotions at other clubs for completely untested managers.

Worked well with Blackburn and Wolves after all.

Cant be doing with all this manager turnover - unless someone is obviously failing, which Sturrock isnt. Getting rid now would be quite mad IMO.

New manager, would want new players, staff, tactics etc and we'd most likely finish mid table next season, so stick with Sturrock - he knows the players, has a system and a set-up and most importantly, solid foundations to build on for next year.

he's done a blinding job,the only change i could see/like is neil harris player manager and paul sturrock director of football ,only when the day to day stuff gets too much.
