Has just re-opened in the last couple of weeks with a new landord.
Speaking to the landlord today and he is going to refurbish then pub in time for the new season and decorate with a couple of southend shirts etc

really cheap in there as most lagers are £2.00 a pint
and they have a good selection of ciders on tap too

anyway the Nelson a great pub and has a DJ in there every weekend & you have the joy of littleman on the karaoke aswell.

The Nelson was our little gangs pub of choice for football for a number of years. I watched most of Euro 96 and France 98 in there as well.
