When do you think the embargo will be cleared?

Feels to me like we just need to survive this season and stay up. Then rebuild in summer properly. The big question now is whether we can with this personnel. I saw enough at Altrincham to suggest we might but on last nights pitiful showing I am deeply deeply concerned.

Lopata and Brunt will return to Sheffield.

We won't replace them.

This embargo will relegate us

I hope it's a cashflow issue - caused potentially by recently cancelled games, possibly Derby going into admin and maybe Ron.

On the positive side there should be cash coming into the club soon from the Sayers deal. Plus, if the SoS doesn't call in the planning application by tomorrow, planning permission will be formally granted. - This could unlock some funding.

With an optimistic hat on, this could all be over by Xmas in a good way!

@kentblues - SoS acknowledged receipt of planning refferal on the 18 Nov - thus triggering the 21 day period.
But wouldn't it be risking misappropriation to use the FF funding grants for basic running costs of the football club?

We can't just be hanging on to the surviving and rebuild thing though, we've been doing that for the past 3 years and the same thing happens each year, look where we are now, it's not worked, it needs to be sorted out with maturity and our owner has to ****ing sort himself out before there is no club.

doesnt it mean we cant register them, wasnt this the case with Sim and the two Macc lads? no point in signing them and start paying them if we cant register them
Correct. We can go and "sign" 20 players today if we wanted to. But until the embargo is removed they cannot be registered with the NL to actually play. As you say just like the lads from Macclesfield. It is spin of the highest order.

Possibly not, but does he get his massive pension pay off the back of us no. Once all the building works are complete will he make more then £5m from the roots Hall development - I doubt it. So thats a poor impact on the alleged £15m debt the club owes him
£15m is mere bagatelle in terms of the projects returns.

I think people would be surprised how far they will go to maximise the money they retrieve. If the defaulter is in dialogue with them I imagine a deal is to be done. There is a limit. The other issue is all the fines, interest and penalties we must be paying every time this happens. Its bewildering that SC got a positive feedback to taking all 3 coaches on when we were looking for two if we were going to run out of cash within a very few weeks. I can't see how SC is in any way to blame for any of this and TL was presumably looking at a cash flow forecast signed off by the owner.
I think the club thought the TTP agreement was done/agreed. Seems the discussion is still ongoing and they didn’t expect HMRC to notify NL of an issue whilst this was still ongoing. The statement fits with what I believed to be the case other than I thought the TTP was agreed. Of course none of us know the back and forth of those discussions. Maybe the HMRC got fed up and have decided to force the issue.

Whilst I agree it’s lamentable and at Ron’s door if the TTP is indeed finalised quickly then really we are back where we were.

I used to not care who the chairman was (I remember an era when you often didn't even know who it was), in fact I wanted Ron to stay - theory being he created the mess he should be the one sorting it out.

But I'm not sure he wants to sort it out anymore. I genuinely think he cares about the club (or at least did), but it appears he cares about money more - that's his prerogative of course, but I'd rather he didn't play with our club's future in the process, so he can now **** off as far I'm concerned.

For those who say what are the alternatives, I'd say I'm willing to take that chance - it can't be much worse than it is now, and it might even be better, you never know. We can't keep holding RM up as our saviour if he is the one creating the **** ups in the first place.

Am I wrong here or is him telling us he hasn't taken one penny from the club releasing business information which he contracted not to communicate to fans?

His last point about delivering everything promised, is he insane?
People are entitled to speak publicly about their own remuneration, unless they have some kind of NDA or other unusual and specific contractual commitment not to. Most contracts would not require people to never tell anyone their own remuneration terms.

On his last point, I don’t think he promised that Ron would not pull the financial rug again. As such, how in the hell is this anyone else’s fault than Ron’s? And why have you got such a big beef with Stan that you just cannot, under any circumstances, accept any hint of anything he says?

Yes Mr Martin sells the only assets the club has at knock down prices. sawyer Spurs £50,000
Just think if Sawyer played a full season in the first team how much would we sell him for then?
Hold on- on the Sayers thread everyone was saying how the club could possibly stand in the way and good on the lad. Now we should have told him no a years of being on the bench in the NL will be much better for you. Not absolutely everything has to taken in a negative light. The’s enough to do that already!

I have no idea why you and several others hold so much vitriol towards me but as someone who campaigns for mental health charities I find your use of insane extremely offensive.

So I'm asking politely for you to change your post.

Many thanks.

Stan Collymore.

Boywonder2 has provided accurate information in the past, Shrimpet Steve hasn't. Boywonder2's silence in the past week (when they are usually quick to dispell financial rumours) is what got a lot of people worried, we've probably been in trouble for longer than a week but Ron has likely been stringing along club employees for a while as well to stop our troubles leaking.
like I said previoulsy, a broken clock is right twice aday.. I am sure we have all pulled a rabbit out the hat in the past re rumours. Who said Shrimpet Steve hasnt ?? hes been very clear where the problems lie, and look at us today, BoyWonder 2 on the other hand... (sorry he got David Worrall right back in 1893

The way I read it , up until now no payment has been paid to him regarding his recent work at the club. Secondly it seems he has done all he promised, you cannot blame him if he has been let down by others.
And why communicate more than this given how people react. CP suggests plenty of work has been done identifying targets- but what can the man or anyone else in the Mgt team do if under an embargo. Oh for the tolerance and forgiveness in contrast afforded MM over a number of months..

Is it possible the agreement was in place as you understood and we haven’t kept our side of the bargain and now want to agree a new timetable ?
