Just seen the trailer for Steve Martin's take on the classic film 'The Pink Panther'. I have only one word to say:

NO!

Watch out also for 'The Hills Have Eyes' and 'Miami Vice' (with Colin Farrell as Sonny Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Ricardo Tubbs); aren't many original ideas in the next few months.

This Pink Panther series has been dead for a long time... and the man that made it such a great comedy franchise - Blake Edwards - was also the man that destroyed it... plunging a creative nadir to bring us pathetic attempts to cash in on the great Peter Sellers with Trail of the Pink Panther... then came the Curse of the Pink Panther and Son of the Pink Panther.

Terrible attempts.

This latest offering can surely be no worse... but its a long time since the series had a decent film to its name.
