Echo News Three of Southend United's under-18s are self isolating

Interesting - if it is linked to the Orient game then it shows transmission outdoors. Surprised grass roots football is continuing

Ron mentioned this in his interview with BBC Sport. Think our under 18s played their under 18s recently.

Just as well we don't have any under 18s in our 1st team....

Let's hope that those affected aren't mates with those training with the first team squad.

Theoretically our youth team are supposed to be in a separate bubble to our first team. Either way, all just more evidence of the insanity of starting League One & Two football with no required testing.

Rick Parry was on the radio last night arguing if the season were to be shut down prematurely then League One and Two may never come out of hibernation again. The EFL were never going to provide or acquire the funds for regular private testing so they'll do their best to force us to play out a perilous and pointless season of football.

That's a bit pessimistic when we're 1-0 up.
