Tour de France

Good to see Froome up with the action

Young Tom, yellow jersey in a few years waiting
Assuming he sticks with it. They said during the Olympics where he won gold in the mountain biking that he's a very good road cyclist but prefers mountain biking. He's also just won the 2022 cyclo-cross world championships.

I assume his off-road experience is what gives him the ability to decline at 104kph! How on earth do they do it?

Mark Cavendish breaks the stage win record he shared with Belgian legend Eddy Merckx with his 35th stage win. Incredible achievement from the 39 year-old manxman.

Chapeau Sir Cav .

Absolutely incredible. A record that won't be broken for a long time, if ever. Didn't expect him to do it and was thinking tomorrow he'd have thd best chance. To win three or four stages in an a career is an amazing achievement but 35 is mental. I fully expect him to go out and try and win tomorrow as well!

Love watching the tour which is a real spectacle and today’s stage although slow at the start after yesterdays climbs really delivered at the end with that sprint finish.

After last year’s painful exit of the tour for Cav making history the following year is something truly special.

Genuinely thought Cavs best days were behind him but when that gap appeared in front of him I was shouting at the TV for him to finally do it! So pleased for him given what he has been through in recent years. Never met him but he has been known to train on the roads in Essex with Alex Dowsett and a previous Blue Egg visitor (if you know, you know)
