Also if I remember rightly he was not the quickest and if we are after something different to Bridge then pace is something we need at LWB
Totally agree. On paper it sounds great getting one of our former highly rated youths back, in a position we need to strengthen. But I really don’t think he’s a left wing back - he’s a full back, or a left centre back. Could still be a great addition to the left centre back spot, but in my opinion we still need pace and creativity down that left hand side which I’m not convinced is Charlie’s game.

Not a rumour but watching the Eastliegh vs Aldershot highlights and Jesurun Uchegbulam really stuck out for Eastleigh.

He looked really sharp for Rochdale when he first joined them, not quite sure why it hasnt worked out for him at both Rochdale and now Oldham.

Just watch highlights from that game and tell me you'd be on the edge of your seat watching him!

He is on loan at Eastliegh from Oldham, not sure whether he is in long term plans but the way Oldham sign players probably not!

Would love to see him here, along with number 30 for Rochdale yesterday!

Would it be an idea to start recording "players we liked from the opposition" from each game? (A sticky toffee thread?)

We could "build" a team of "potential recruits"/players to keep an eye on as the season progresses?

I'm sure that would help Kevo, Curry, Benters & Johno when they come on here looking for ideas ......

It will be Tommy Widdrington keeping tabs!

One to watch out for, young Teddy Collis has just moved from Brightlingsea to Needham Market in the NLN, so its a step up. We've picked up a few from this level step and though I dont watch Bsea (where I live), I see a lot of their tweets etc and Teddy always seems to be front and center.

Scored 15 this season, 31 last season (and 15-16 assists).

One to keep an eye on at NLN level - sure the club are aware.

With the addition of Parillon, I've really started to get excited about next season. I genuinely believe we have a really good nucleus of a squad and with some key additions signed and bedded in early, we will be up there.

I've started to think about potential targets and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know we are going down the young, sellable route with recruitment, but I do feel a little bit of knowhow and experience is needed. I'd really like us to pinch Josh Rees from daggers. I've called for this signing before and I've seen nothing to change my mind. We are crying out for a goalscoring midfielder and he is just that. Scored 16 last season and has got 10 this season for an abysmal team. That's a great record. Yes he's 31, but every team that wants to succeed needs some kind of experience to get them there.

Anyone got any other suggestions?

Kane Crichlow from Chelmsford City 24 y.o. midfielder with 10 goals from 24 appearances this season. Probably being kept an eye on by our scouting team.

What we are crying out for is someone who can cross it from the left and someone from the right. Bridge and GSM did not deliver one good cross between them on Saturday. Bridge to soft and GSM balloons them.

Felt sorry for the forwards as they make runs but never get rewarded, then get stick from our fans. Better than any goal scoring midfielder are two Wing back/wide men who can hurt team with decent delivery's.

A good example is shown from the Yeovil blog on the post match thread. Bridge is in great position first half but cute it back instead of the obvious near post to reward Hoppers great run. You even hear local in the background say "he never looked up"

Up the other end they the cross it correctly, low and square, for you know who at the far post. Both Golding and Taylor assumed their lad would do a Bridge and over complicate it. Golding could have cut the cross out and Taylor went to cover the cut back instead of the far post.

George Alexander of Eastbourne Borough - 23 year old forward who has scored (I think) 19 goals in 30-odd games this year. Previously played for Chelmsford City so may have local connections - and scored 8 in 18 for the Clarets IIRC. Worth a look.

South London boy - son of Gary Alexander. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Alexander_(footballer)

Mentioned it when he came on as sub for Millwall in an FA Cup game (his only 1st team appearance) https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/sport/george-alexander-its-a-dream-come-true-to-make-millwall-debut/

All the talk about Chelmsfords Charlie Ruff seems to have died down this season ,
I noticed that their assistant manager is an ex shrimper Mickey Spillane 9 games in 2013

Rochdale striker Kairo Mitchell is one I'd love us to sign. Out of contract in the summer. He has all the attributes we're looking for.
He defo be one too look out for imo.

I thought the winger at Eastleigh looked decent Jesurun Uchebulam very direct and quick .

Josh barret too at aldershot in attacking mid .
