It's always difficult to bring in players near to the Christmas period due to the reluctance of clubs to let their players leave and being hampered by the embargo makes it near impossible.Thanks to the ridiculous rules being imposed by NL I wouldn't be surprised if we say we cant fullfill some fixtures due to circumstances starting at Kidderminster

Max impact would be to have no game on boxing day given it's the live match on tnt sport - or if protests need to restart

Sorry, bit of context to this. We won’t be able to “sign” anyone for a fee, undisclosed or otherwise, under this embargo. We’ve been granted dispensation to bring a player in, so it’ll have to be a loan, or someone unattached.

We’ve missed out on Levi, but that wasn’t the player we hoped to bring in. We’ve been turned down by two players at different EFL clubs on loan.

Is stan collymore still at Southend? Maybe we could ask him to come out of retirement to solve our striker issues.
