Fiacre Kelleher, the man who was keeping Ben Goodliffe out of our team last season has returned home to Cork to sign for Cork City, I think this might mean we will be more keen to keep Ben for next season.

Now here’s a player we can dream on.

His ceiling is that he could be the next Freddy Eastwood and in future years we see his signing as the turning point. The floor is that he’s the next Dan Mooney. Where he’ll land between the two I don’t know but it should be fun finding out.

For those asking for a statement signing this would be that.

If the stats are correct then he is actually less tall than Keenan. A definite need to keep the ball on the deck if they are both on the field at the same time. Still exciting times ahead.

Mancini has spent a lot of time in the treatment room in the last 2 seasons. Would be a risky signing, even allowing for his undoubted ability.

If Cashman happens that just leaves a forward, and a couple of centre backs as essential. Anything else would be a bonus IMO.
