Transfer news
I wonder if Port Vale's James Plant might be worth considering as a long term Bridge succession plan. A right footed player who can play on both flanks, including at left wing back, as well as in attacking midfield. He still has a couple of years left under contract there, but doesn't seem close to breaking into the first team.

Mansfield's James Gale might also be worth a look, the kind of big physical striker we need, without much of a scoring record yet but I think the kind of player who will click in the right team. He has a year left but is thought to be available.

it’s frustrating we not hearing anything at all, we need to get back into business, so we don’t miss out on our target that we need.
Players were being spoken to before Wembley and players would have been contacted this week. No need to panic. It’s always tough when you go through the play offs especially not knowing what league you will be playing in. Rather we take our time and get the right players in than panic buy.

Hoping we have some news over the next couple of weeks. Off on hollybobs today for a couple of weeks on a cruise to North Norway, that'll act as a distraction for me.

I still thought there was a NL deadline of today for the retained lists to be submitted. I obviously had that wrong, but thought that was why Oldham's was out so quickly and half expected ours out around 6 ish last night.

We might have to notify the league but no compulsion to share in the media?

Yeah your right let’s not panic but let’s not also start slow in the Lge again!! We can’t afford to start slow this time round

No prizes for having to play catch up all season either. Surely plans were being done before the end of the season anyway besides we have been getting told for ages that the whiteboards were full for any eventuality
I'm not talking about plans or player signings. Just that it doesn't matter when you get your points on the board. We could have all our signings complete next week and still get off to a slow start results wise and it would still remain that the points total come April is the most important.

SUFC never hurry always last to sign players Take there time to get into the playoffs and take there time to finally lose at Wembley ,took there time to get new owners, and they will take there time to get out of this sh**y league.

Or quickly, all our signings take an age to finalise , I predict last minute .com signings of homeless players..

Do they?

When we signed Dan Mooney and Cav Miley, both arrived by the end of May 2022. 26th I think we announced both signings.

Rhys Murphy was relatively early as well, 10th June. He’d signed terms before then, but we had to wait until Yeovil announced their released list before we could announce the signing. Some silly National League ruling.
