Bristol City have agreed a fee with Southend United over the transfer of Ben Coker #bcfc #sufc

Think it would take a massive offer for us to let go of him with the season now underway, and can't see this one being at all true.

Bristol City have a quality left back in Joe Bryan who is young and has bags of potential, and almost all of their signings so far this window have been young players with high hopes for the future or more experienced players who have proved themselves at Championship level. Coker wouldn't fit either category.

I wonder how many pages this thread will fill by this time tomorrow. Don't panic!

It has about as much truth in it as all the posts over the years that begin with.......

"My brother's best friend told me that his ex girlfriend told him that her 2nd cousin removed, is dating a guy who once went to Bristol on a junior school trip back in the 1980's, & it so happens, he apparently knew someone that once saw Steve Tilson in the club house of a golf course with Ben Coker... and Ben commented on the barmaids assets by saying "Nice Bristols".

Your right, it must be a done deal!

Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted out. Know he had a falling out with Brown and his firm dipped massively during the back end of last season. I'm on holiday, but my mate who was there Saturday was hugely disappointed with Coker again. I really like him both as a player and a bloke, but something clearly isn't quite right. I'd rather brown left than Coker

The fallout with PB and dip in form was due to Ben Coker playing whilst injured. He clearly should not have been picked, and the injury should have been sorted out.

I thought Coker was one of our better players on Saturday and he certainly looked far better than the tail end of last season. There again I was at the game and not on holiday so probably my view won't count.

PB was hoping to keep Hendrie on loan but our club has to make some tough financial decisions, one of which didn't do Coker any favours.

Was there anyone that didn't fall out with Brown last year? Asking for a friend.

Not many! Most of his players see him as a bit of a joke. He, his tactics and his relationship with his players, may end up being our undoing this season.

Especially those players who are all earning far more this season than last. Bentley, Payne, Worrall, Deegan, Bolger all of them laughing in the queue for the bank.

Hope Coker doesn't move to Brizzle.I'd lose a tenner bet with a mate that he wouldn't play in the Championship if he does.

Got a feeling I might be losing that bet sooner or later anyway.:'(
