My guess is it is the regular rent write off...
South Eastern Leisure also had some charges satisfied in full today.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Relates to Sainsburys, all 3 of themMay be covered elsewhere (so apologies) but saw some interesting update on Companies House...
What could it mean...?
You have to admit that the straightening out of club finances, plus the bizarre and drawn out managerial recruitment process, could be explained by ownership being about to change hands. If it’s Swedish money coming in, you have to suspect that Larsson would be manager.
Whilst the thought of Ron exiting would doubtless make many people on here happy, personally it would make me very nervous.

If a consortium of ex-pros were investing a club would they take a punt on a Swedish manager with a fairly mediocre record?

If a consortium of ex-pros were investing in a club, being honest - why would they choose Southend? What return are they expecting to see on their investment? We're not a magic money tree, we're a big dark money pit!

1. Cheap. If you want to get a foothold in the English market how much would it cost to buy a mid-table Championship, say a Birmingham, Cardiff, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday?
2. Your investment goes further in League One than the Championship or the Premiership. A warchest of £5m wouldn't go very far in the Championship but would be a game changer in League One.
3. Location. We're close to London, have an airport with flights to Europe. Handy if your business plan involves loaning/signing continentals from your home markets.
4. Potential. There's potentially a catchment area more than twice the size of the likes of Leicester, Nottingham, Sunderland
5. Successful ex pros tend to have an innate belief in their own ability. If they work hard at it they believe they won't make the same mistakes that all those others made.
6. Ron's dream of a new stadium could transform the club.

Fair play to you for the marketing pitch. I love Southend but they aren’t a viable investment By any stretch of the imagination. I look with real suspicion at anyone coming in to ’invest’ who doesn’t already have the love.
They might with Zlatan up front banging in the goals. The Swedish Stan. They aren't investing in the finished article. So it will be cheap in football terms. The most run down house on a decent plot can often be the best buy. Depends of course on the price and the area/road it is located.
Yorkshire makes some good points but I have never bought into the 20 mile radius nonsense people in Chelmsford are never going to drop their London club to come to Southend.
If not the Dutch it will be someone else once FF is passed. Its was Yanks about 2/3 years ago. They are thinking just one season in the PL gets you £100m and the parachute payments means another £100m. The owners of Hull and Blackpool had no intention of spending that money on players. They had a very nice earner out of it.
