I hear that the above is a good possiblilty...Shame really i think he could have done a job for us this term, compared to Billy, Matt and Hooper i think Wayne would get my vote, all be it only just.
I think Hoops is potentially a great signing, but I also agree that neither Billy nor Prince Harry have brought something special to the side in Wayne's absence... if anything, Wayne's pace might have been more of an asset in this league...[b said:Quote[/b] (wrongun @ Nov. 24 2006,10:14)]I hear that the above is a good possiblilty...Shame really i think he could have done a job for us this term, compared to Billy, Matt and Hooper i think Wayne would get my vote, all be it only just.

My thoughts exactly, Hooper being the more promising out of the boys we have brought in, I really didn't think much of "Prince Harry" against Plymouth he just didn't get accross the defender when a ball comes over from the wings. Wayne would nearly always get to the ball and either hold it up or lay it off, we had an option with Wayne it seems as though the ball doesn't stay in the final third with the additions we have now. Wayne never really used to give the ball away either..Just my thoughts.[b said:Quote[/b] (CS J @ Nov. 24 2006,10:24)]good post.. completely agree[b said:Quote[/b] (Matt the Shrimp @ Nov. 24 2006,10:23)]I think Hoops is potentially a great signing, but I also agree that neither Billy nor Prince Harry have brought something special to the side in Wayne's absence... if anything, Wayne's pace might have been more of an asset in this league...[b said:Quote[/b] (wrongun @ Nov. 24 2006,10:14)]I hear that the above is a good possiblilty...Shame really i think he could have done a job for us this term, compared to Billy, Matt and Hooper i think Wayne would get my vote, all be it only just.

Its because we offered him a years contract and he wanted more then that.[b said:Quote[/b] (D62SUBOY @ Nov. 24 2006,10:33)]I too think Wayne could have added something to the squad this season but I think I'm right in saying it was more about him wanting to leave than Tilly or Brush feeling he wouldn't be good enough for this league or not fitting in with the additions he knew he's have to make.
Yes i agree too![b said:Quote[/b] (CS J @ Nov.

Not really so, all Wayne wanted was a decent increase on his League Two wages. Ron Martin and Tilly were not too forthcoming with an offer that was in the region of what Wayne wanted (another 500 a week in reality). He was offered a great goal bonus which i believe is a good idea as it is goals you want from a striker and maybe that is a way of getting them. Wayne did want to stay it was just contract issues that blew it, his view was that he liked the club he was settled in Essex but had bills to pay too and that he believed he should be on a better crack than that of a league two wage that he started on considering we were now in the Championship. Still a shame i think.[b said:Quote[/b] (D62SUBOY @ Nov. 24 2006,10:33)]I too think Wayne could have added something to the squad this season but I think I'm right in saying it was more about him wanting to leave than Tilly or Brush feeling he wouldn't be good enough for this league or not fitting in with the additions he knew he's have to make.

A source inside the club (who obviously you don't need to spill who it is) or something else?
i dont know whether he will tell you.. but he has told me, and trust me.. it's certainly credible..[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Nov. 24 2006,10:46)]Just out of interest how do you get your info?[b said:Quote[/b] (wrongun @ Nov. 24 2006,10:40)]Not really so, all Wayne wanted was a decent increase on his League Two wages. he has been right many a time..
You would call any of Col******r's squad "Championship" class, but look where they are...[b said:Quote[/b] (C'mon you Blues @ Nov. 24 2006,10:50)]I can't believe this. Wayne Gray is not a championship player. Pure and simple. I'll be grateful til the day I die for the Bristol City goal but he is where he should be, which is in the first division where he has scored all of 3 goals this season. Wayne knew he wouldn't get much of a look in the Championship so jumped ship and refused the offer. Fine. Let's move on.
Wronguns company sponsored Wayne for a few years[b said:Quote[/b] (glasgowsufc @ Nov. 24 2006,10:46)]Just out of interest how do you get your info?[b said:Quote[/b] (wrongun @ Nov. 24 2006,10:40)]Not really so, all Wayne wanted was a decent increase on his League Two wages. I agree but apart form 3 possible four who else in our squad is Championship class ? Look at the table and that's reflected. I am not in any way suggesting he is Championship but from what we have i think he was the better option.[b said:Quote[/b] (C'mon you Blues @ Nov. 24 2006,10:50)]I can't believe this.
