Wembley tickets

It’s always the same with these things- as the e pressure builds they peel off. TFL say they are happy they have taken steps to provide the necessary capacity

So now holding the parcel
Brent Council
The Police
Wembley Stadium

As the heat increases one of these will end up with the mess in their laps..

My guess the stadium makes ££ the higher the attendance so the Council & Police may be hiding from us but I suspect not from others
My moneys on Brent Council being blamed for this disgraceful scenario.

Train strike? Shut the national stadium? Anyway mute point now as TFL Operations Director has made a statement that as far as they are concerned they have laid on alternative measures in line with the the requirement
Requirement of what though - getting 20 to 30k people to and from the stadium - the goal posts have moved.

Well finding 180 coaches is proving difficult.
Now it has been reported that the NL board has know about this for months - has your Darren Royle been found yet? The Atlantic and others would like an interview..He has known about it for months so if you can’t find 180 coaches that would be a massive fail. For us at virtually no notice however we are are pretty screwed over - yet again.,.
The managers team talk is going to be a cracker- even by his high standards…

All of this came as a complete shock to Latics fans. Most didn’t realise Royle is on the NL Board and we have no idea what he knew or didn’t know…chances of him telling us is zero I would say, he’s not known for his communication!
Our local MPs and the club have said absolutely nothing since this began other than the bland announcement that due to elf and safety the crowd would be capped.
It looks like we have sold around 10k today but can’t be sure and it’s unlikely they’ll be any updates, just two lads in the ticket office dealing with hundreds in the queue and an online ticketing system which collapsed immediately!
I’m just waiting and praying ahead of general sale Monday lunchtime.

The whole lines aren't closed. You can get to within 2 miles of wembley on the line the closed station is on (coming from central London) - 30 to 40 minutes walk.
This whole thing stinks doesn’t it. We are being played like they think we will just roll over. Thing is after what we have been through we are rather good at making a fuss, and that extends to our council and MPs- I suspect it’s all a bit of a shock yet again to the NL and others who should have seen it coming

I think we will sell out tomorrow and then the you know what will really hit the fan- if your Mr Royle has anything to do with your club after this I would be amazed. As he hasn’t been sacked I assume your Chairman etc knew- but realistically they are never going anywhere ( and I wouldn’t wish that on your club anyway after all you’ve been through). But Royles position should be completely untenable- he has basically lied and misled the fans by omission if nothing else. If you have his contact details the press are keen to know- they can’t find him…

I bet it's because their crowd flow/policing plans are all about channelling fans down Wembley Way to Wembley Park station, and holding them back in batches to control the flow into the station. They would need to come up with a very different plan if fans are leaving via other stations/coaches, perhaps including keeping people in the stadium after the final whistle. Perhaps they've concluded that this is logistically too difficult. Or perhaps they just can't be bothered to do extra work...

Expected clearly being the operative word. Expected based on other NL teams being in the final, surely?
When I went last time they used police horses and turned them sideways in Wembley way to stop the flow to the station

I think you’ll find that hey wouldn’t schedule the FA Cup final when the lines are closed. But here they gambled on there not being any more demand than 35,000- and they have been caught out.
Yes. They arranged the game a few months ago and I’d expect that the TFL works were already planned.

I think the real question, in the trusts letter, is whether increasing capacity through the other stations is possible.
