Wembley tickets

I agree the gamble is reckless, but when NL found out about the maintenance work, we were probably 4 points off relegation...

Oldham vs York was always a possibility though, but the train prices would probably have kept the attendance below that 35k limit/shoved a lot of fans onto coaches.
Well you reap as you so and they own it. The fact that the Oldham CEO is on the board and they seem to have prepared well on the coach front moves it from reckless and incompetent to potentially another place altogether given it was all kept a big secret.

If they had announced three months ago about the restrictions then maybe they could have weathered the embarrassment- but they chose secrecy and crossing fingers

Stan, if you read this among most probably a massive set of messages….., I have no idea of the feasibility of this (track isolation to allow other engineering work to continue or staffing etc) but there must be an opportunity for the Mayor’s office and TfL to review feasibility of a Baker Street to Wembley only shuttle (no intermediate stops) on one of the two lines.

I actually wonder who holds the ace card here. Maybe everything is trumped by the Met and safety concerns or maybe Wembley haven’t staffed up for a massive crowd.

We might get some answers by this time tomorrow. Thanks so much for your intervention.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I presume you have secured your ticket(s) today and therefore we are viewing matters from a different perspective from me? I am also presuming that you’ve not had to pay several hundred pounds in transport costs in order to guarantee to be in the UK next weekend. Apologies if I’m way off track here.
Have you vented to

@TheVanaramaNL who own this mess?

Perhaps naively, I am surprised at how many season ticket holders we must have. If 12,500 tickets have been sold and, judging by some posters' comments, a number of season ticket holders did not use their full 4-ticket entitlement, then we must have well over 3,000 season ticket holders. That's pretty impressive for a club in the fifth tier, I would say. Does anyone know the exact number? I'm asking purely out of curiosity with no criticism of Wembley ticket allocation implied or invited.

Not sure that first bit is fair mate. We currently have no idea what, if anything, our CEO knew and in any case, we would always have had more coaches organised given the respective distances.
You initially had 30+ and us 50+ ….I’d have been suspicious if we had the 180 coaches parked outside the ground ready 🤣

That’s pretty unlikely and certainly not in any meaningful numbers. Oldham fans can be stupid but not that stupid!
Didn't mean to insult! This person is a very good friend of a very good friend. Just spoke directly to me candidly and said after the screw up with the OAFC ticketing system today, there'd be Latics going in on our general sale. Might make sense for the less Greater Manchester-based and hence less coach-insentivised OAFC crowd to take up our non-coach based allocation and brave the away end!

I believe it is in the region of 4300 ST holders

At the end of the day. There will be tickets available for others. Keep an eye on here for ticket availability and there will be further tickets hopefully becoming available in the coming days as pressure mounts and ticket allocations sell out.
A bit like not going to Rochdale cos you'd rather go to The Railway but you (somehow) get a ticket to Forest Green and then claim your Wembley allowance. Top stuff fella.

due to failure of the NL and others in allowing such a small number of tickets to both participating clubs.
Please stop spreading this sh*te. Are you really suggesting it was behind the pale that two teams such as Southend and Oldham would possibly meet in the final, and that in fact the NL were rubbing their hands with glee at what they considered to be a most likely final between Gateshead and Forest Green?

What turgid nonsense. They may be incompetent but there's nothing to suggest they're corrupt. Short live the current NL organisers. Let's hope we can at least passively herald the new crew who will hopefully usher in 3 up, 3 down.

Article on the Beeb about the mess up, the pressure is mounting, let’s see if they crumble.

This quote is hopeful that they’ll budge somewhat once initial allocations are sold out. Maybe the realistic bet is releasing another 5k each (pure guesswork).

We ain’t stupid
We are a far bigger club in reality fan base and history, one of the founding clubs when the prem was created, a town surrounded by loads of clubs in a very close proximity, United, city, Burnley, Blackburn, bury, Stockport, Huddersfield, etc etc yet you have no clubs in close proximity to your club yet our fan base over the years is bigger.I don’t remember you ever being in the top tier of English football ever, you are being disrespectful and uneducated on comparing our clubs

But with a season ticket (or at least access to one) you were nigh on guaranteed 1-4 tickets. So?
Yep wanted to get in early to get safe standing tickets.
Was just giving some tips for general sale later today.
The main tips are don't login at midday try much earlier and get in the queue and as others have stated check you can actually login to the ticket portal well before any queues start. So try that a couple of hours before the sale starts.
