Doo Wop started in the U S during the mid 50's.
Groups of young men (made up of mainly black singers).

They would stand on street corners of certain cities.
Some had huge hits--Others were never seen again.

If you are a Doo Wop fan I am sure that you will enjoy these truly wonderful 45's.

 
Not today, but yesterday, a bit of nostalgic humour from Flanders and Swann from a time long gone, but still clever even now.



 
I though I had heard just about every version of this Quo classic. How wrong was I, and how did I miss this one. Absolutely brilliant with the Quo and the Orchestra having such a great time.

 
For those of you of a certain age who wondered at this song when they first heard it. I spent hours trying to perfect the drum solos on a couple of empty biscuit tins and a pair of my mum's wooden spoons. Crashed and burned every time, but so much fun trying.
