It’s not said enough, but sometimes the youth of today really step up to the mark. I think, at last count, Southend had 250 young people who attend the Southend City VE Day beacon lighting on Thursday.
We also had the pleasure of 32 standards (flags) on parade. Which was easily the most in Essex.
