What sort of fan are you?

I used to have a season up until 2000, but now I have too many other commitments to go all the time. I usually get to the Hall a couple of times a season. Maybe one day I'll get a season ticket again.

Almost every home game - might miss the odd one.. Due to it being so damn expensive (with kids in tow as well) we try and pick out the away games we really want to do when the fixtures come out (new grounds, big games, start/end season, good p*ss up opportunity etc)

Used to watch reserve games when I was younger just for the social side really and meeting up with mates but not anymore!!

you have mates Mrs P?

I saw just two games last season, Watford in the Cup and Millwall away. Oh, and the play-offs on the telly.

In place of my visits to Roots Hall, I went to The Emirates about 15 times, Stamford Bridge ten times, White Hart Lane five or so, likewise with Upton Park. I went to the Stadium of Light twice, St James Park once and Wembley on three seperate occasions.

When I went to the pub with Matt the Shrimp, Uxbridge, Leeboy et al for the Donny away game, I got all confused about what was going on. For the first time all season I felt sick with nerves, and rightfully so given what happened.

You can watch all the top class football in the world, but you always know where your soul is when the shivers rattle down your spine on kick-off.

I am like a crack addict, sadly with no time or money these days going to matches is a no-no for now. However, those who know me know what kind of a fan I am.

In an attempt to avoid the Anorak tag which is rapidly heading my way, the Youth games were the "Big " FA Youth cup ones and were also undertaken for the night out as well as to give the kids a bit of support . West Ham away for example (I think that was a night out organised on here, i cetainly recall Mike Smith and Uxbridge being in attendance)

Indeed, that was the only youth game I've been to. Glen Johnson hat-trick in a 3-0 loss IIRC. Went to see the stiffs once when they had Canvey in the Seesx Senior Cup and I was living on the Island.

Generally speaking, I'm a bit of a part-timer in terms of attendance nowadays, mostly due to working alternate Saturdays. If I get to 20 games a season I'm doing well.

due to having no life, gf, or family...
i managed to get to all league & cup games last season.
the last game i missed was stoke away (league) 06/07.
it cost me a small fortune last season, but worth every penny to me.

to quote danny dyer from football factory...
"what else you gonna do on a saturday,
sit in your fc****ing armchair wnkaing off to pop idols ?!
then try & avoid your wifes gaze & you struggle to come to terms with your sexless marriage ?!
then go & spunk your wages on kebabs, fruit machines & brasses ?!
fckuck that for a laugh. i know what id rather do, tottenham away
kfucing love it"

maybe thats how i should of worded mine:) just with out the Stoke bit

didnt see you at walsall away mate ?
think you was watching england away, let you off

when did you last miss a game that you wasnt watching england instead ?

I go to as many games as money etc will allow, although its not been easy because of the problems I have had with my leg at times.

I have now got a seaso for the first time in ages but i'll have to see how it goes with away games, I'll be going to all the close-ish ones though.

about 15 games a season, 10 home and 5 away, the rest on internet live text and teletext!

work, women, life and living in london gets in the way of any more

Skint and avec les enfants, means I watch about 2 games a season. Give it a few years though...

Very positive, I have tried to take most/all my kids along & seem to be failing dismally at present.

I think I will take a backward step to expenditure due to kids & my circumstances/pending/probable divorce/women/life/club costing me too much etc etc groan moan whinge lol!

Guessing/hoping the kids will see it more as a treat from next season when we go less, but that's life as they say........ :'(
