Spent the weekend laid up with (presumably) some sort of vomiting bug. That said, my Saturday largely consisted of watching a potential EPL title decider get very lively, England trounce Australia in the rugby, an El Classico and a shellacking for West Ham.

As days spent ejecting my stomach lining go, it was definitely in my top 5.

Are you my daughter? :stunned:

Been to the doctors today to have my totally wrecked ankle ligaments looked at that I did on Sunday, 7 days off work and complete rest, in pain and out until at least end of February, my Southend debut will have to wait for a bit:winking:

Not quite on Saturday afternoon but I went to the Estadio Azteca (Aztec Stadium) in Mexico City last night (think Maradona 86) to watch Club America vs Necaxa (a team who used to be based in Mexico City but relocated to a city north of the capital in 2003 - sound familiar?). Crowd I expect was 80,000+ as Necaxa still have a big Mexico City fan base.

I was 3 rows from the very top and had to buy tickets off a tout outside. Not very league 1. Quality of football was poor but food outside excellent as always, beers brought to your seat along with pizza, various Mexican bits and bobs too and fans mix pleasantly. All in all, a nice night. Never had a bad trip to the Azteca

Took my 88 year old father in law for a meal down the pub

As is his habit he loosened his belt whilst eating

When we got up to leave we got half way through the pub full of folk eating their meals and his trousers fell down

He couldn't give a flying fc uk, announced to everyone (by this time he had the whole attention of the pub) that he was 'free for bookings' and we left to a round of applause

Stroll on

 Quality!
