Who is Brian Barry-Murphy?

Saw this in the free Metro paper this morning.

'Bury boss Graham Barrow has signed Irish defender Brian Barry-Murphy on a year's deal.  The 25-year old, released by Sheffield Wednesday, becomes Barrow's fifth summer signing.  Barry-Murphy has also had spells at Preston, Southend and Hartlepool.'

I know I've been out of the country but I can't remember him atall!  We seem a strange choice as he seems to have a definite northern preference!

Agreed - thought he was solid (solidly built, IIRC), decent left peg... and a darn sight better than Bury's other former Shrimper that they've signed this summer...
