Post-Match Thread and Ratings Woking 0-0 Southend United

i know many off you love Miley , but perhaps his sending off will be a blessing n disguise , its been stated during the match how he slows the play downplaying sideways and backwards so often We have Morton to do his job whose range of passing is far superior than Mileys, Just Maybe Husin will find some form or Foron will get a chance to shine, As for our strikers come January i hope all there will be changes , they have more than proved they could hit the back of the onion bag if it was double the size,

Really difficult to know how the new attacking formation had worked after the careless sending off. It was quite an exciting start to the game, few open chances, slightly worrying defensive lapses, but at least the slow build up had gone.
3 strikers miss many more than they score, and favourite players seem to stay on too long.
Long tough season ahead, me thinks

So, we put in an FA Cup performance against F.G who let’s face it are player for player better than us
And then we play a lack lustre Woking who expect to get beaten but we turn up the same as our manager has the drive of a 🐌 snail after a positive performance.
His old mate Miley lets us down but quite honestly he should now be 4th in the list and making the teas but Mr Stubborn will play hi whatever anyone else thinks.
Another pathetic point and the Maher bore a thon carries on in a pathetic League….and a lot of Shrimperzone deluded’s are still very happy….unreal!
None of the usual criticism of Collin???

Are there really any arguments for that being a positive performance? Even before the sending off we never looked remotely like scoring (I don't count the Bonne chance, well, because it was Bonne against a goalkeeper from 12 yards...)

Dare I ask why Pepple was hauled off early again?
Baffling, he did the same against FGR when he has been our most threatening attacker. Can he not last the full 90?

New formation was looking like it could be effective before Miley decided he wanted an early finish. Some moments of dodgy defending. Bonne had a very good game but he needs to be taking the chance he had (though it was a good save from their keeper).

Take the point with 10 men but I'd be unhappy if we had 11. Woking were awful and there for the taking
In the 1st half we had 11 men, and reding through the threads should have put the game to sleep 3 or 4 good chances apparently, so even with 10 men the second half to have settled for a draw in my mind NO WAY .and why be unhappy if we had 11 myself i would be happy if we had 11 and at least two of them being strikers who know how to put the ball in the onion bag when given the opportunity .

God you really do talk some ****. You are now blocked

We dominated the first half and had two very good chances to take the lead with both Bonne and Coker failing to convert. Second half was changed completely when Miley committed a challenge which gave the ref the opportunity he was looking for, and out came the red. Was it a foul, not sure, but the ref was, so off goes Cav. I have to say that he was a silly boy going in like that when there really was no danger, and on the half way line to boot. From then on it was defensive time, and I thought the team did that very well with an organised, disciplined display. I thought Morton had a very good game today and he was my MoM. I also thought that Collin was very solid in goal. I really hope Bonne scores soon as the rest of his game improves every time he starts, especially his ariel ability. Relegation side? anyone that thinks that is deluded.

Hard for me to see how this was Maher’s fault tonight?

He started with the formation many were calling for. He started with the XI that many were calling for.

We bossed the game first half, which at times resembled a defence vs attack training session.

Pep and Bonne failed to take their guilt edged chances.

A red card changed everything.

intrigued to know from those still calling for Maher’s head, what you’d have done differently tonight?

Taking Pepple off was his biggest flaw in my eyes. I’d have definitely hooked one of the other two first. Trouble is, Pep can’t last 90 mins atm, so you’d be looking to change him 15-20 mins later anyway.

Respect for Kev, a good guy who shows loyalty to players. That has been crucial in past adversity and we benefited from a team that clearly played and battled for him. Now though you wonder if it’s clouding his judgement. Husin and Miley, Bridge and even GSM more recently have arguably deserved / may have benefited from a benching. KAF and Wind unlucky not to play more, as for poor Wood, not even in the squad tonight and has been limited to such little playing time. Doesn’t feel objective at the moment
