When was the planning application due to expire?

Was that extended in the end?

they are fixing the fence on the outsides of the garrons golf course so dont get to excited.

Garons golf course is nowhere near B&L though

just saying thats where two guys were today fixing the broken fence at the back of b&q, no work going on anywhere else today as go their with the dogs, the area is at its worse at the moment its so overgrown theirs gonna be so much work even before anything gets started, its gonna take weeks if not months just to get the mess out of the way. still ron knows best eh.

I have just driven past fossetts farm and I can confirm there is a red digger a White van and surveyors with their tripod equipment. Not sure whats going on but it's nothing to do with fencing along garon golf course. Seriously I'm not joking.

well i was their around 1ish so maybe we are on the move at last.

With the tenders having gone out from the club I would think there would be a lot of Surveyors etc looking over the land ATM..Just a guess.

Maybe the SUSCT could volunteer to assemble a group of fans to clear the site? Afterall, our fans built Roots Hall and clearing a site of weeds is small beer in comparison. It's nearly the school holidays and whilst I'm sure there will be uproar from the usual quarters about the idea of fans helping the club, I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd be willing to do their bit for free to help Southend United.

To help not hinder.

If this really is the beginning of it, then thank god for that but why would a digger and some surveyors be looking at it? I'm not into building things so you'll have to tell me the gist of what happens.

got to get all the wildlife off first, newts etc before anything gets cleared and that takes weeks alone, remember them doing that before B&Q comet and all that went up, it took months did that, think this will be more of the same.

Look on the bright side though, if they need equipment they only have to pop over the road into B&Q to get their things.

Don't get your hopes up...the sight of a digger, and a couple of land surveyors means nothing. Could be scheduled utilities works by any statutory undertaker, such as Thames Water or UK Power Networks.

Works going out to tender doesn't mean a thing - it'll take many months before a Contractor is selected and on board if the necessary procedures are followed.

You probably see undertakers around there quite a bit, given it's proximity to the crematorium.

I'll get my coat.
