Post-Match Thread and Ratings York City 3-0 Southend United

Really taking its toll on Kev now, his body language, tone, all seem like a man on the edge. Theres only so many times anyone can be beaten down before they snap. The **** decisions by the ref are just further kicks to a man whose down.

I feel for him, we are lucky to have a true southend man at the helm and i just desperately hope for him and us that we can get through this horrific chapter in our history.

Obviously putting pressure on rm is no.1 priority, but perhaps just as important is letting kev know that the fans truly appreciate him. I have no idea where we would be or who could take the job if he walks.

Harrowing is the word.
And the managers vacancy at Oldham (where Kev was assistant?) has become available.....wouldn't blame him

Had that vacancy occurred in 3 weeks time, and we haven't had positive news, then that wouldn't have surprised me.
But until then at least, Kev's blood bleeds blue & he will be as committed as ever.

I’m actually quite surprised that all 3 of the managers are still with us & haven’t been lured by other offers (if there have been any)

Hopefully testament to their belief & commitment to the club that we will get some good news in a couple weeks time & look forward to getting shot of the little sh!.tbag of an owner.

Nearly 2 years of this crap would be enough for anyone.

Not the birthday day experience I expected. 😢 My 5 year old son kept track of the score and was keen to tell everyone he spoke to after the game that we'd lost 3-0. At least he'll have memories to saviour of his first Blues game.
To be honest at half time, despite the scoreline, I didn't see that final score coming.

Like most of those in attendance. The quality in our depleted squad is clear. However what I witnessed on Saturday was a team that has passion and pride. This was matched by the unbelievable support that I had the pleasure to be amongst. It brought back memories of those heady days of my youth when I would sing for hero's throughout a match.

As my visit to in the UK continues I will continue to follow the developments at my beloved club. I'm praying for an end to this saga with a positive outcome not the death of Southend United Football Club.

The players and management deserve the chance to benefit from their love and passion they are demonstrating every week for US, the fans. I'm as excited about Tuesday as I was at the final whistle on Saturday. The reason is simple...

I Love The Club!
