Question Your best all time SUFC 11?

That's a good squad but Billy Best, Bill Garner and Freddy Eastwood deserve inclusion....
Billy Best & Bill Garner were pre 76 which was my 1st game. I would have included Peter Taylor with them as well.
Was hard for me not finding room for Dan Bentley, Simon Royce, Steve Phillips, Ian Benjamin etc

So with many depressing results and performances of late, it's good during these times to head back down to memory lane.

Here is my all time favourite 11 ... what is yours??

I've gone for 4-3-3.

Paul Sansome

Dean Austin
Spencer Prior
Dave Martin
Justin Edinburgh

Steve Tilson
Andy Ansah
Peter Butler

David Crown
Stan Collymore
Brett Angell
How did I forget Peter Butler in my team ??? Great player

Blimey, I remember Micky Laverick & Neil Freeman. Think they both played in my first ever Blues game

Micky Laverick, one of the most cultured midfield players to wear a Blues shirt, but could also hold his own too and chip in with a few goals.

Neil Freeman, one of the best keepers to play for us. Pity he went to the top division in a very weak Birmingham team in '79, which is strange , being it was managed by jim Smith. Gutted when he was injured and Sean Rafter had to play in our 3-2 defeat at Derby in the cup. we'd have won if Freeman had played, no one will convince me otherwise. lol.

World cup winner Alberto Tarantini played in the same side that season, didn't work out though, they got relegated. I believe Neil freeman became a policeman possibly in Grimsby when he retired.
