Team head to Spain for pre-season

Well ****ed off they have gone away again and again not playing any games. Scotland and the 2 trips to Madrid where brilliant and really fancied another trip abroad.

More likely that he is staying behind to progress one or two things in Phil's absence. Phil and Graham can handle the training sessions but someone from the playing staff may be needed for negotiations to help move things on with other targets

So this is what we have so far:

Sunday 5th July - Friday 10th July - Spain pre-season training camp
Wednesday 15th July, 7.45pm - Great Wakering Rovers (A)
Friday 17th July, 7:45pm - Braintree Town
Saturday 18th July, 3pm - Wet Spam United (H)
Tuesday 21st July, 7:45pm - Brentwood Town (A)
Wednesday 22nd July, 7.45pm - Canvey Island (A)
Saturday 25th July, 3pm - Dagenham & Redbridge (A)
Tuesday 28th July, 7.45pm - Charlton Athletic (H)
Saturday 1st August, 3pm - Grays Athletic (A)

(First game of the season is Saturday 8th August)

Pretty sure I read somewhere that we've got a behind closed doors friendly against Spurs this weekend as well.

Does anyone know why Mooney wasn't given a training kit? It's also noticeable that he is very much on the periphery of that photo. It'll be interesting to make a before and after comparison.

Just checked the title of the thread again................and it is what I thought it was! News of the tour is incredibly thin on the ground, I thought I read somewhere that Dan Bentley was going to be reporting back on the day's events? Didn't read details of the trip but I'm assuming that this is a training/bonding exercise and no competitive matches are involved........ ................................Real Madrid III taken fright since we ran them close last season???

Vs Spurs on Sat behind closed door. I just hope we don't pick up any silly injury, like Timlin did last summer at Spurs training ground!

I wonder whether Tims will have to wear his rubber helmet this season? Injury aside, he did look a bit of a nob in it.

I love the off-season.

Deducing status from team photos. It's downhill from here on.

Even in that photo (the last one) Atkinson has got his head down. Look up man and see where your team-mates are!

That's because he is Jack Payne's adult minder on the trip. Jack is behind that post just to right of Atkinson by the way.
