I didn't get the feeling they were disgruntled, just that he is a very average goalkeeper. One even mentioned the main reason they think he doesn't get enough plaudits is because he doesn't make the "save for the cameras" he keeps it simple and saves the ball simply, not springing across the goal in athletic fashion. I reckon he will do for us, got a decent amount of games behind him so can provide more experience then what Ted has.

Echo reported today that it was a championship striker with some 'pedigree' other teams interested were northern so we have an advantage.. I would guess that he might currently be with Ipswich, Brentford, Fulham, Brighton, Brizzel city, or QPR or Charlton.

Why does the word "pedigree" make me think old and injured?

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas I reckon.
 
Bobby Zamora seems very likely.. played just under 30 games for Brighton last year, a good fitness record. Much more solid signing than Hunt.
 
If not Zamora then Luke Varney (Ipswich) and Simon Cox (Reading) might fit the description
