Not been this gutted about a player leaving for a long time. People are questioning whether he would have made the step up to League One but he's the sort of player who is a handful for any defender. Not many proper targetmen like him around anymore. Brown has a job on his hands replacing his goals over the summer. Seems strange that he's gone back into League Two after finally getting out of it with us after 5 years, but I wish him all the best. Cambridge have made some good signings already so they've obviously got a bit of money and would expect them to be challenging near the top of League Two next season.

:'(

Great signing for Cambridge. Bet Luggy is disappointed!

The plus point for us is that he won't be back at the Hall scoring against us this season. Neither will that very weird bunch of old men supporters be turning up, so there is a brighter side.

His agent probably got him a good deal with a signing on fee. He is 30 and maybe feels this is his last big pay day.It can often pay to move on, most lower division players are often on the move.

I think the club did know.

Those Samaritans Helpline advertising hoardings went up ages ago.

Sad news. Think we could have done with him as at least a squad player in L1 next season.

Can see why he has gone though - probably more money and more pitch time.

Thanks for the memories Barry.

Just feels a bit ungrateful from him
He turned down more money from Burton 2 years ago, played him in a system he hates the last 2 seasons and clearly given him a far from convincing offer this time. Don't think we can question his loyalty, although Martin claiming to not know anything seems very strange.

As shocking as the news is, but no one is bigger than the club, players come and players go, but the fans remain. Thanks for your time with us BBBC and the memories!

Move on, he is replaceable for League 1, he would be sitting on the bench & got on with 20 minutes to go!

Corr, you are complete and utter total ******* and I am feeling very angry with you at the moment you inconsiderate git.

I now feel considerably better and will have a far more adult approach to this news.

Did well with limited ability and not sad at his going. More poor games than good.
Problem appears Brown has to off load before bring anyone in and that could be a problem unless targets already identified.
