1200? is that real? If so that's shocking!

I think any figure should be taken with a pinch of salt (sand) because obviously the truth won't be popular. However they did admit to 'nearly 1000' deaths last summer.

There are estimates which suggest that over 4000 workers could die before a ball is kicked.
Wow, I didn't think it was anything like that number. That is genocide.
**** Qatar, and **** the 2022 WC.
If true, that's amazingly awful...........never knew it was anywhere near that number. Tragic and disgusting, certainly something which needs more publicity.

Is Phil Neville on Twitter? I think a barrage of tweets about the amount of dead workers may be in order.
Yes. @fizzer18
The graph seems to come from a figure of how many migrant workers have died since the World Cup was awarded, however it doesn't make sense to use that figure since many migrant workers are not working on the world cup. This article suggests the figure is closer to 200, the human rights issues aren't restricted to football, if the World Cup hadn't been awarded thousands would probably still have died.

Irrelevant. A country with such atrocious human rights should NEVER been awarded such a prestigious competition.
my belief is that England and a few other big name european countries should boycott the next 2 woeld cups and form their own competition to run at the same time as those world cups and invite other nations to express an interest in playing in them, be nice to see what sort of respnse they would get, im sure australia woulld be interested .
