Don't let Brian Clough call them Notts Forest ,it's Nottingham Forest !

Sorry it should have read ,' don't let Brian Clough hear u call them .....

??.....Are you on the Xmas Brandy early this morning, by any chance? :whistling:

By mutual consent. If the feedback from those in the know is that he will not play for another 6 months + , then offer him 6 months wages to terminate and move on.

Why on earth would he agree to that? He's contracted, on good money, for another 2.5 years having just moved back down south to where he wants to be. He's an excellent player, whose talents could take him far higher than L1, but for a few injuries and not being totally committed to his football career in the past. Brown likes him and wants him, and he's just had a further operation. He's a couple of months away at the moment, but he will be back and he'll be an upgrade on anything we've had at the back these last few years.

Let's try and get Steven caulker from QPR as his just been let go from the club, would be great signing at this level:smile::thumbsup:

No chance, one we cannot afford his salary and too much baggage, think PB and RM have enough on their hands with Ranger, If Caulker could get his head together he’d be Premier League standard, sadly he suffers from chronic depression:-(

im probley not the only one, but I didn't think we'd get Simon Cox, ranger or turner as I thought they might be to greedy in wages, but we did:smile:

Read an article about Steven caulker problems and have to feel for the guy. Goes to show you can appear to have it all and still suffer

He is a very talented player, at league 1 he would be the best defender in the division by a country mile, but asides his salary we already have AF, Turner, Kyprianou, JW and possibly Kiernan coming back soon so CB is not top priority. Hard to say where he will go next, sad state of affairs tbh...

Saw the following from one article.....

'Caulker, who has one year to run on his contract and has been training all summer with the former league player Drewe Broughton at Goals centre in Hayes'

....he probably can't kick a ball after training with Drewe

Apart from Madden, Clarkey and James Hanson join Bury. We play them on 13 Feb. Hanson always a handful. And Keiffer Moore (remember the hat-trick) joining Posh and we play Posh on 3 February. Some serious challenges ahead for our CBs.

Keiffer Moore would have been a great loan signing, completely bullied us at Rotherham....we always seem to miss out...Payne in the summer as well...Brown does not use the loan market enough!

I think it was decided to have a more compact squad this season and play our own players rather than loanees. Had we got loans in, the likes of Kyp, Elvis and Dru wouldn't have got a look in

I would take Caulker on a pay as you play deal. Superb on his day and, like so many others, deserving of a chance.

Good list on paper but who knows about Kiernan, if and whenever, and AF and MT should be discounted, So we have JW and Kyps as CB's.
