The Board of Deputies of British Jews are blaming Hamas for using civilians as pawns - that is their reaction to 16 unarmed protesters being shot dead by Israeli military.

The Board of Deputies of British Jews are the people who organised the protest at Parliament.

For context.

Anecdotal, (I know), but yesterday I bumped into a retired Welsh bloke in a restaurant in Servian-near Pézenas - (that my wife and I first went to some 40 years ago now) and he (like me) was strongly anti-Brexit. Unlike me. he he'd taken out French citizenship, something I'd be extremely reluctant to do, even though (given the 5 year EU residence rule) I could easily apply for, (and get), Spanish citizenship.

One less whinging Welshman to worry about....Excellent news.

I guess a proper Brexit would ensure all the overseas traitors won't want to ever come back...mmmmm

Two British people who don't even live in the UK. Not sure how that helps demonstrate anything.

I'm inclined to agree with *** on this - many of us who oppose Brexit like to think the country would, in a referendum tomorrow, vote to reverse the decision but maybe that is a bit of echo chamberism.

It might, (for me at least), in that the Votes for Life Bill has had a second reading in the Commons recently and is now off to the Lords for consideration. However, as it a private member's bill, without government support, (it was a Tory 2015 manifesto commitment after all), it's probably going nowhere.

As to your second point, there won't be another referendum on the EU tomorrow or any other day soon. Given that we've been in the EEC/EU for 43 years it 'll be for a future generation to vote us back in.Doubt if I'll live to see it -you probably won't either.:winking:

He was a charming bloke and highly articulate, actually.

As to your second point ,as I've said before,I really can't see how a deal over the Irish border situation can be agreed-unless the UK remains a member of the single market and/or a custom's union- at the very least. So you might get your wish of a hard Brexit,if we crash out of the EU without a deal and on WTO terms.:winking:

the right wing media show their true colours by attacking Corbyn for meeting with the wrong kind of Jews, while the right kind of Jews were blaming Hamas for the fact that Israeli forces shot dead 16 unarmed protesters. Politics is in a very strange place right now.

Well its own fault. If the Labour party stood up and demanded a public inquiry over Telford or asked why we are being obviously lied to over the Salisbury nerve agent soap opera. Then we wouldn't have 3 anti-Semitism stories on the front page of the Sunday times etc. Including an anti Palestine story with the 16 dead and 700 injured getting a one line mention.

Don't talk **** Riggers. The press have no interest whatsoever in fair and balanced reporting. They're running scared of Corbyn because he threatens the gravy train they've been riding for the last century. They'll print whatever they like about him, stick it on the front page and then just quietly apologise for getting their facts wrong in a couple weeks hidden away on page 10.

I believe you've already had your dig at Corbyn for suggesting the Salisbury poisoning wasn't down to Russia..... So he can't really win, can he.

It would appear your the one talking **** Lordy. I know you have avoided my question on this thread but why have you suddenly started to abuse your position as a moderator

Mods are entitled to express an opinion as any other poster can surely?
The fact is that Labour cannot dictate (or even influence for the most part) what stories the media cover. And as Corbyn is the first leader of any major party for years not to cosy up to Murdoch and the like they are looking to take him down. Those offshore accounts of the media magnets don't protect themselves.
With the BBC having to protect themselves from the constant threat of ending of the license there are very few news outlets not looking to keep the government happy. That is where we come in. Question everything.

Lordy knows what I'm talking about even if you don't. Plus you know full well I didn't slag Corbyn over the Salisbury attack.

What about Telford should Corbyn stand up for the 1000 victims ? Should Corbyn call on a for a public inquiry over the clear cover up and the sinister bullying of police officers, social worker or doctors who reported what was going on in these towns or if they mentioned certain MP's or Jimmy Savile and the BBC

As for the rest of your post
yeah I think Lordy may have stumbled across the one thing you didn't blame Corbyn for

Should Corbyn call for a public enquiry re Telford - all MPs should, but if you look at the enquiry into the Westminster abuse scandal it may be deemed there should be a more effective approach to that as enquiries don't have a great track record in getting to the truth

So what is Corbyn going to do to protect whistle blowers and make sure the likes of Ted (dozens of victims) Heath are properly exposed and stop the establishment smearing victims.

On this one particular issue I don't know what Corbyn is doing, but I also don't know what the following are doing about that issue either:
Who knew that Shrimperzone had a character limit? You'll have have to imagine the name of every MP here, because they are all responsible for what is presented to Parliament - not just one MP.

No fair, you can swear and I can't.

**** **** ****.............see!!

You need to be a leader to win an election, unless your Teresa May of course. If JC stood up and showed he could actually give those swing voters something to vote for he could win.

Your policy of 'No one else is doing anything about it' fails societies most vulnerable. The very people you and the Labour party claim to speak for.

Apologies, it wasn't you who was wobbling on about the ridiculousness of Corbyn questioning the evidence. That'll be something to put in your diary. LF was wrong and admitted at. 3rd April 2018. It will go down in Forum History. Maybe we could celebrate every year. Exchange cards. Give Presents. Sing Songs. That kinda thing.

As for your accusation, piffle my old chum. Seems there was a problem with the swear filter, it usually *s it out when I say cluster**** or ****..... (let's see what it does here)

JC has every right to ask what evidence we have that Russia or Putin are behind this attack. We have been to war in Iraq over a blatant lie by a previous PM, who claimed he had overwhelming intelligence.

The first question is why not just shoot someone if you want to execute them. Rather than risk innocent deaths and international incident.....Unless of course that exactly what you want.

I just been talking with a fellow Firefighter who like me, had specialist training for this sort of event. We both agree that alarming questions need to be asked about the response and why clear and well practiced procedures have not been followed.

What about the Anthrax attack that killed 5 and injured many others in the USA just a few weeks after 9/11. The world was told it was clearly muslims. Later it was scientifically proved that it could only have come from one specific US military lab.

Look up the scientist by the name of Bruce Ivins. He was harassed and accused the just like our own Dr Kelly, then conveniently committed suicide...So case closed

Strangely the only Senators who were sent letters containing anthrax were the 2 who opposed the patriot act, which of course they quickly signed......Something Bruce Ivins could not have possible known when they were posted.....Careful JC there's far more danger out there than just the Russians.

There you go Lordy. The trouble is in life if just pick a usual suspect and accuse them of something without any evidence....

By the way the further developments in this story....It was now on the front door etc are becoming laughable.

Plus those photos of men in B&Q cheap white overalls and masks. They look like council workers clearing a dirty flat. If it was real they would be in full chemical protected gas tight suits. You would then go through a specialist cleaning shower, directed by a scientific adviser and the whole area would be close off for hundreds of yards.

Instead we have people and neighbours moving around in civies and an 8ft square police incident tent over the front of the house.

I think I said this somewhere = If the Russian Secret Service wanted to assassinate someone, they would have assassinated someone. There was no rhyme or reason for them to do that to a pardoned spy, living the UK, a few days before Putin's election. It's questionable - but I've no doubt it will be shrouded under Secret and we will never find out. However, making an enemy of Putin is bloody stupid thing to do.

He was certainly correct to be asking to see evidence. Sadly, we live in an Idiocracy, and people just believe what they're told. So he gets hammered for it with little regard for the facts.

Dunno, why I am still playing in this thread....
