I liked him and wanted him to stay longer than his loan.
That was the plan I believe. Then after his lazy final game at Doncaster Tilly pulled the plug on the transfer (200,000?).

A very decent player but always came across as someone who didn’t like the game, just played because he was good at it. Big shame.

He was so indescribably bad at Donny it must have been a deliberate failure. Tilly had no choice but to ditch him.
 
I spoke to him a few years ago and he said he wanted to keep playing at what ever level his body will allow him too until it’s time to retire. And predicted he would still be playing for a team at 45.
