I am hearing that Corr could be out for a 'significant' part of the season. We have no money to bring in any quality, therefore shouldn't we now be sitting down with Pato, saying what's happened has happened lets move on and start to integrate him into the playing squad and try to get a few goals for our money this season?

Or is it way past that now?

Blair now not likely to make the start of the season either according to today's Echo.

So Corr could be out for quite a long time.

Blair doesn't look like making the kick off.

Paterson unlikely to get a look in.

That leaves us with Harris, Crawford & Asante.

We need a couple of strikers in asap.

Pato in today, trained with the first team and looked pretty good.

What's the betting he's with the Yoofs tomorrow?

Surely the most sensible idea would be to play Pato for all the remaining friendlies and if he looks the part and proves himself then PS should play him, especially if we are short of strikers --- if he doesn't look like a League 2 footballer then he has been given the chance and failed and then he should be loaned out to the highest bidder.

very very interesting , good find. Everyone contributing on this thread should take the time to read this. The thread also explains why he will not be joining Oxford

It would be interesting to know if Sturrock would want to keep him, if his wages were in line with what we are paying others.

Basically just says that they want him back. Doesn't actually explain why he didn't join Oxford as that quote is from that awful Football Rumours website.

Give Pato a start alongside Harris tomo.

Never rated Crawford, runs around a lot but cant finish for toffee. Asante still young and hardly played.

Agreed, but how many out there still unattached who can produce the goods, could we afford?. The thought of Harris getting injured in the first couple of weeks of the season, is to horrible to contemplate.

Paterson has been cut by Tara Brady who needs him out of the club to ensure the wage structure he has brought in is not overspent. Pato will not be given any opportunity to prove himself, the club need his wages.

An interesting thread from Stockport!

Sounds like Stockport is a good fit for him so I hope he goes there. He didn't show the potential for us that you seem to see in him but maybe the BSP would give him to chance to resurrect his career.
