Breaking News Official at last. Maher,Currie,Bentley.

Something like Tilly with the more experienced Brush supporting him?
They’re all a similar age. Similar experience really. Yes Currie spent a couple of years managing Barnet and that experience in this league is a plus. Kev had got his UEFA Pro A and B licenses 6 years ago!

Welcome Home King Kev, if your motivation on the pitch is anything like your motivation off it sounds like itll be exciting times ahead, wish you all the best in your endeavors to make our club something to be proud of again.

Remember we are United , Southend United!!!!

Oh and a little Brucie bonus- Stanley will chip with a few tips and sessions with the strikers. Ball, onion bag and all that (am I allowed to mention onions?)

Bentley could be key in this set up , he’s done really well at Canvey and I’ve heard some good things about him and his managerial style
If we had a handful of mark bentley type characters in our team we wouldn’t be where we are now .
good luck to the three of them and hopefully they can instill a bit of long awaited confidence and passion back into the team

That is a fantastic team. All 3 will care about the club and nurture the players from youth to seniors. This is hopefully the beginning of at least an upturn in fortunes.

Wow! This is the way to bring back the feel good factor to our club. Three excellent appointments with experience of this league and local players. We need to remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day and give them the time to turn the fortunes of our club around. Come on you Blues!

Great trio. Delighted with that and welcome home to Kevin Maher and Benno.

Currie coming in as assistant is a pleasant surprise too. I'm happy tonight about southend united and that's a rarity these days.

One Kevin Maher. There's only one Kevin Maher.
