Maurice the rescue cat had his annual health check yesterday. He's physically healthy it seems but some of his behaviours recently (loud continuous squawking, etc) makes the vet think that he may have developed cat dementia. WTF!!

I've now read up on Cat dementia and he has virtually all of the classic signs so I might just let him out via the front door and then close it quickly, permanently (he absolutely hates that). Too cruel?

Heartless *******!

One of my mums cats has it, but he lives a good life still. Only real issue is, you give the poor bugger some treats, and half hour later he’s forgotten he’s already had some. Repeat ad nauseam

Woody the wood pigeon inhabited our back garden most of last summer and is now very much back this summer too. Woody now has a female friend and both landed on our trellis work last night as we had coffee on the patio and woody shamelessly gave her a good seeing to in front of us. They now appear to be building a nest amongst the wisteria on the top of our shed. Its all happening in the RHB garden it seems!

This was woody about an hour ago on the very trellis where the deed took place. Again we were having coffee.

Maurice the rescue cat has deteriorated alarmingly over the past few weeks. He has real problems jumping up onto anything and has to be lifted up, he's also losing weight. Chuck in the fact that he's incontinent and it feels like the end of life moment may soon be on us. At 17 I suppose this is not unusual but still is painful.
