I hope he plays, can shift the ball past him and go easily.......

When Deegan was needed to go in hard and early on an opponent who was dictating play, he rarely did it, he tended to just loose control once he had made a mistake and generally plough into whoever had the ball when he eventually got to it.

If its going to be anyone who cops an iffy challenge, my money is on Lenny or Atkinson

He will be targeting the man in form and scoring for fun .....Wordy.

Very quiet yesterday from Deegan. Stupid tackle to get him his token booking and showed exactly why we were right to get rid of him. He's playing for the bottom of the league side and will do fine in league two.

Indeed. Shame some felt the need to chant his name though as if he was still with us - what message does that send to those who actually are?!!!

I think they would have seen the humour in it. We was thanking him for getting a yellow card as far as I remember.

Thought he had a standard Deegan performance, 6.5/10.

I heard it several times, not just when he was carded,or at the start of the game, which might pass for acceptable.

I honestly don't think they would lose any sleep over it. He gave his all for us, and imo was a decent squad player for us. His beard and short shorts also gave us something to smile about...I only heard it during the carding, so I doubt the players would have heard it much if they were concentrating on the game.

I don't think we miss Deegan, a very average player, but to be fair he always put in a good shift. Yesterday he played in his best position just in front of the back line protecting those behind him. Performance worth 6.5/10.

yet we still struggled to beat them....

I just wish our Announcer would make some reference to former players when reading out the opponents team.Like him or loathe him Deegan is still a former player. Just 2 simple words like "Welcome back" would suffice.

Good point.

I'll have a word with Mickey G when I speak to him next.
