Question What is making you happy today?

At 8.30 this morning, a police motorcycle stopped the traffic at Canary Wharf to let about 100 black cabs, three AA vehicle's, six support vehicle's, one ambulance and a french gendarmerie car out to begin their journey to Disney, Paris. In the cabs were disabled and special needs children. I was genuinely moved by the procession. Last Wednesday, I hated every one of them for the disruption they caused in London, today they made me shed a tear for all the right reasons.

See, you do have a heart somewhere :winking:

I have. Trust me, it really was a moving experience. I should also point out that the police were giving them a full escort to Dover, the support vehicles were all brand new Land Rover Discoveries donated by a local dealer for the trip and the AA has put three vehicles at their disposal for the entire trip, free of charge. It puts some lost faith back in to the human race when you see things like that.

The mildness of sheffield curries lulled me into a false sense of security. Tried out a new place and went straight for the vindaloo - blew my face off. Really good curry though and much needed! The Japan vs SA rugby was amazing too, watch the highlights if you missed it.

Parked up outside a job on the Greenwich Peninsula so wandered down to the river. Nice and peaceful before the days madness begins.

It is funny how, sometimes, when you least expect it, everything goes absolutely perfectly and you turn out with one of the best roast dinners you've ever made. Tonight was one of those nights.

A cheeky win on Saturday at the bookies and a text inviting me to a weekend away to Palma in November. Not a bad weekend at all really.

Great weekend with the kids this weekend (only have my son once a fortnight) followed by a fantastic Roast cooked by the Mrs last night to come to work today with the boss off ill and Pie, mash and liquor for lunch!

Get in!
