I don't understand this at all, is his Dad French ? Must be some Gaelic blood in there somewhere, why else would Arsewipe Wenger sign him ?

Nope. He's one of those that gloats when we lose.
Really ? And you would know how ? I could say you're an over opinionated interfering patronising........shall I go on ?

Have a nice weekend.

As for Mr 9 posts garner&best I look forward to seeing some pearls of wisdom from you sir.

Nice how easily things go off topic! Best of luck to the lad but they probably sign up about 30 of these types a season and only a small percent make it, hope he does though!

Our youth team seems to do a brilliant job at producing players for the prem sides but sadly not much of a job producing players for our first team.

I don't think it is set up for us really, more something where we can develop a player and sell him on ASAP to get some cash in

From the players point of view I can see the attraction but I can't help but think the likes of Lyle DV etc would have been on verge of the first team here rather than languishing three levels below an almost impossible side to break into .

Yep but it isn't about the players and what they need/want, it is more how much RM can get in his coffers. We seem to be the same , it is very rare we bring a player through to the first team when we need fresh faces we normally just go and buy/loan a player from another club.

Fair play to the lad. Of all teams that you'd want to join, it'd probably be Arsenal.

Hopefully the rest of our players are half as good.

If that is the case (and I don't think it is) then due to the recent youth transfer fee changes, best we dump the youth set-up.

Good luck to the lad, never going to keep our young stars away from the likes of those sorts of clubs. Be interesting to know exactly how much the club have made for a youngsters in recent season, 1 to arsenal, 1 to everton, 1 to derby and 1 to liverpool hasnt it been so far?

Iorfa to Wolves and LDV to Fulham too recently

I cant remember the exact details but when Southend applied to the council for changes to the retail element at Fossetts, I seem to recall something about an indoor youth academy above what would have been the casino being done away with, and as I recall an indoor training area was necessary to be a football academy. With the changes being made due to the elite player plan and small clubs getting way less dosh and losing top young players for next to nothing I wonder if Southend might be changing their view on becoming an academy side?
