Family members and muckers early train to the smoke,Trafalger sq etc,get on the sauce, roll into Wembers early afternoon, pay our respects to Southends no1(Trueblue) at the Greenman, then on to glory with the mighty Shrimpers job done.

2 options for me
option 1, start work around 10 am taxing people to train stations, and then listen to the game on TV
option2 star work at 10 am spend a couple of hours taxing people to train stations before getting on a train to Fenchurch Street then tube to Wembley and sit in the singing section

Get up, step out my room for a dip in the swim up at my 5* hotel in Kos.

Stuff myself with the all inc brekky.

Head to the white sand beach, with turquoise warm waters, palms and all inc alcohol and catch some rays.

Head back to room for a freshen up.

Stuff myself again at the all inc Beach BBQ, watching the sun set.

Take a stroll into Kefalos to a bar over looking the Aegean Sea.

Get smashed on cheap beer/cocktails and watch us win.

Would I rather be at Wembley?.

Yes. :'(

But you have a few brought tickets :winking:

Option 2, hubby reckons BH Saturdays are not all that so you can work your Friday, then have the Saturday off!

Have heard mutterings about strike action on the trains for the BH weekend, anyone else heard this?

Monday at 5pm for 24hrs, so you'll be fine. Work on the Tuesday however....

Strike's due to start on the BHS Sunday for 48 hours. But talks are to be held this Monday so maybe.....

I am driving down on Friday afternoon and have booked two nights at the Holiday Inn on Empire Way. So hopefully a nice breakfast, then meeting friends in the afternoon for a few pre match beers. I'll be heading back up north on Sunday.

Up early, enjoying the train ride up to town - get in some nice west end shopping (as a girls does) - spend heavily (as a girl does) then make our way to the pub (as a girl does) have a few drinks (as a girl does) and then off to the game (as a girl does). Will be just a normal Saturday for me lol but sitting in a better stadium on better seats (and if anyone could see my seat they would know why) and then I will probably sob like a baby ( as a girl does) when we win at Wembley and do you know what.....................I cannot wait :hilarious:

12.36 pm from Leigh. Jubilee Line from West Ham to Baker St. 2 hrs in The Sherlock Holmes Hotel bar ( round the corner from the Globe) proper glasses, posh seats, then off to Wembley 4 ish.
Turn left coming out of Wembley Park, 50 yds past the Torch pub parade of shops where you can get whatever & chips for a fraction of the price you'd pay down Wembley Way & inside the Stadium.

Sam's Chicken on that parade worth a visit. Not sure I've ever been to one of their places sober though...

Train from Dorridge Solihull with family all in Southend Gear, interesting stop at High Wycombe to pick up the opposition and short walk from Wembley Stadium Station, up the blues!

The boss and I will be driving up to Stanmore and parking round there somewhere. We'll be getting there mid morning so we can stroll around BENTLEY nature reserve, and then we'll check out the Battle of Britain museum at BENTLEY priory. Boarding the underground at Stanmore about 3pm, Wembley Way at 3.30pm and in the ground about 4.30pm for a beer.

Incidentally the name Bentley means a piece of cleared ground with coarse grass growing on it - according to the reserve web site. A great description of a football pitch! Weird.

Reckon the trip to the reserve and museum will bring much good luck. Will bring the hallowed grass from the reserve to Wembley and place an almighty hex on Wycombe to lose the game. A foolproof plan.
