Pepe Mel now sacked by Betis with them 15th in the league.
Went to my first la liga match yesterday, Seville v Malaga. Good game with seville winning 2-1 and 2 sending offs. The stadium was magnificent although with only one covered side would be no good in England.
The schedule for that weekend hasn't been announced yet, as they don't announce which time or day games will kick off until a few weeks before. They announced the weekend of the 14th this week so will probably announce it some time in the next week or so! Most likely is Saturday afternoon/evening or Sunday, Madrid and Barcelona are rarely given the Friday/Monday night games. In the Malaga area over HT and just seen that Malaga are due to play Madrid on the day I fly home (Sunday 21st!) which is rather annoying but not 100% confirmed yet!
Never been to their ground.Seville must be a bit parky at this time of year.
The problem was the wind that swirled around the stadium once the sun went down. When you buy your ticket there is a choice between sunny or shaded area.
Was at Espanyol's 5-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad last night. Absolutely dismal display, and made even worse when you consider that Real Sociedad hadn't won away from home all season before the game. Galca's days must be numbered.
You certainly weren't the only one! Given the attendance of 14,500, I'd be surprised if there were 7,000 left at the final whistle. Not that that meant the booing was quiet.I was there too.(Left after 60 minutes when they were already 0-4 down). There's a board meeting today apparently, (new Chinese owner present via video conference link up) and as you say Galca could well be sacked.Espanyol's record under him is woeful with only one win and two draws plus 7 defeats.:'(
(PM me If you plan to go to another game).
ps Didn't see your previous post (493) on this thread until now.

Will do, thanks!
This weekend's clash will be interesting, 2 teams in Espanyol and Valencia who you just can't see winning a game.
