Pizzaland, used to like their pizzas

There used to be an ice-cream shop with proper Italian ice-cream in loads of flavours around about where Body Shop is now. Don't think it was there for more than a few years. Not a clue what it was called. Maybe they couldn't compete with Rossi's!

When I worked at Midland Bank, we had huge numbers of shops paying into us and it's struck me how many of those mentioned on this thread were customers and are no longer here - most of the shoe shops, certainly Freeman Hardy Willis and Dolcis; the Arcadia groups shops - Dorothy Perkins, Etam, BHS, Principles; Software Plus; Pizzaland...probably loads more I've forgotten. On a Monday (or after a BH), we'd have one person shut away most of the day counting their paying in, which was done via Securicor or the night safe!

And this lot is before the Fossetts Farm retail park gets going. I'm gobsmacked that the high street has anything left in it.:winking:

Are you sure you're in the right town? Never heard of any of those!!!

Hurt.

Locker.

That's a film not a shop, though to be fair, it sounds like an outlet where you'd by certain bedroom equipment for a certain type of person.

The camera shop on Queens Road that also sold computer games.

The shop on the corner of Alexandra Road that sold Campri ski jackets.

Great effort all. Wings and Wheels how could I forget?

Someone posted Circle K. Still very much alive in HK. We are plagued with them and 7-11. On the plus side the beers are cheap
