I have news for you all.... Your chickens have all come home to roost because it is becoming clear to me that people are sending a message to these moral do-gooders and soap box'ers through the voting system. It's time to stop telling people "how to think" through passive aggressive comments and hyperbole and accept that they might feel different to you....Otherwise this is just the beginning.

Mods could you please move Mr 24's posts to an EU thread where apparently they will be relevant. Today with the big US news he is still fixated on the EU so if this could be shunted over there that would be grand, then folk can carry on talking about the good ol US of A. Thanks in advance.

The Tories are in power, they can vote it through Parliament if they want or they can use the judiciary to buy extra time at the Supreme Court by which point they may have worked out what the hell they are doing.

Farage - wouldn't surprise me, it's a one man party so none of his resignations seem to mean anything.

There are a lot of idiots in both countries and they are allowed to vote, for this reason we have constitutions and rules written that mean the status quo will be maintained to some degree. Do you remember all that good stuff Obama said he would do? Didn't happen because he didn't hold enough real power. All the bat**** crazy stuff Trump is spouting? Yeah that aint gonna happen either. As for Brexit, we are going to have to make concessions to stop the economy going to pot so we wont get the utopia that leavers thought they voted for.

Actually if I can beg the Mods and fellow posters indulgence, there is a small amount of relevance between the Brexit and Trump vote particularly in motivation so at least for now can we keep it here.

It appears that much of Trumps support has derived from the white working class, in the same way that the Brexit vote has been credited with the same.

The vote for Trump can also be construed as a mass rejection of Liberalism and the establishment... again similar to claims made about Brexit.

the swear filter puts an **** where a bad word would be, so no, it did its job. If you want to propose a ban on swearing I'd back you all the way. Be a lot less posts to read though.

I am allowed to act as an ordinary poster. If that involves clicking the like button then that is my choice as an SZ poster. If you've got a hang up about how I moderate, then maybe post a complaint or PM me direct. By the way the swear filter did it's job.
