How many people of voting age are there?
This may provide a rough answer but it isn't exact for 2016:

Although I didn't allow for people too young to vote ( I did say my figures were ish and about) they are in the right area.
Barna, take note
As for the break up of college vote, I believe the number of votes awarded are based on population, maybe Mr President can enlighten us when next on here.
I'd also value Rusty's opinion on the poor turn out.
The 'wall' will never get built. Mark my words. If anyone wants a tenner bet with the readies going to SZ then let's have it. i'll bet here and now that in four years time from the day of his inauguration the wall won't have been physically built.
It'll cost billions to build, politically VERY provocative to many in his own party and seriously, can anyone really envisage the west allowing another Berlin Wall to be built with all the years of turmoil and personal strife that caused to so many?
I doubt it will be a bricks and watch tower construction but possibly a wire and sensors with more border patrols. Cheaper and likely popular with many voters. The 'wall' will never get built. One interesting statistic on the turnout figures was that more highly educated voters voted for HC whereas Trump mainly appealed to voters without qualifications.
There's a moral there somewhere.:whistling:
The left are being destroyed, nobody wants to listen to their spiteful bile, the world has turned against the liberals and the London elite, now the USA has spoken.
Brilliant times for the sensible.....yippee.

We shall see. The politics of liberal free trade has failed because, whilst benefiting individual countries, creating growth it, at the same time, produced huge inequalities in wealth. IMHO, failure to address this inequality is much to do with the Brexit vote and the election of Trump. However, it is one thing to channel the anger of this under class but it's a whole different ball game to create an economic system which will be better than the discredited one we have. The danger is one of throwing out the baby with the bathwater. The situation is not going to be made any easier with the advancement of automation. I'm reminded of the arab spring and just hope the glee being expressed by many will not end up with the disillusionnment of a economic system which is no better suited for purpose than the present one and worse, something which causes friction and agression between countries.
The Arab Spring was founded by the liberal left .
I hope Trump pulls his troops right out of the ME and then maybe just maybe we follow suit.
You can add to that a refusal by our government to engage in war by proxy in supplying weapons to Saudi Arabia. Ooops, perhaps that's the kind of deals we really are going to need when we've left the single market?.......and that's all tied up with oil anyway, isn't it? You see, I can identify spiteful bile, whether it comes from the left or the right. Proposed free-trade deals such as TTIP and CETA, which in their present form I am strongly against, are exactly the kind May will give her right arm to sign up to as soon as she's disentangled the UK from the EU. Yet, aren't those exactly the same type of liberal free-trade deals you and Trump abhorr?
are you aware of his casino 'empire' that left him on the verge of bankruptcy? Maybe the sniffing in the debates indicates that his sense of smell still hasn't recovered.Career politicians can never be trusted with any deals to be had, they are clueless.
Trump is the ultimate businessman,he smells a bad deal from 100 miles away,he will make sure the US do ok,sadly he may not be so generous with the rest of the world.
Boris purchased second hand water cannon of the Germans, the Germans must have been wetting their pants.
