…..because Ron Martin is so deluded he does things to keep people happy for a few weeks then wallop, take that, “I’ve now made things even worse” just to buy a bit of time……useless little ferret! Why employ J S then?

People will rightly be highly sceptical if and when he posts such things in the future.Boywonder2 was also very selective with his wording at times, pacified the natives that all player wages paid etc whilst knowing that wasn’t true for all staff. What he knows and shares isn’t exactly done without the clubs knowledge
I think he only knows what RM promises him.
Then if I was Tom i'd be calling Patrick into my office asking where is the money for HMRC and what have we spent it on, why has it not been budgeted for.I dont think thats the case. More likely to me that tom makes the budget. Ron says thats fine. Tom proceeds then cheques bounce.
Ron knows what needs to come out of the account. But he doesnt put enough money in. Not fit and proper, he's a cowboy.
Yes, seem to have taken on a lot of traffic warden types just lately, never sure now to get what you’ve written, is Ron now a mod? What the hell is going on with this site. Whenever I come here on yet another thread has been closed by mods. I know I've mentioned it before but the censorship is becoming a bit of a joke now to be honest. It seems we are the being dictated to what we can and can't say continuously. Even the pre-match thread has for some reason been closed, just seems wrong to me. If we're not entitled to have a moan now then when will we ever, it can't all be positive la la la conversations.
So we are talking about a world where government's with a record of human rights abuses are allowed to buy our leading clubs and we want clubs takien away from other owners because tax bills are paid late? This is the problem. Is it just me who thinks the leagues powers in these situations are insufficient? Take our case as a prime example. An owner who, to all intents and purposes, has full control. No one can buy the club without the owner selling. No chance of a hostile takeover for example. Said owner is then proven to be unfit. In our case several failures to keep HMRC happy.
For me a transfer embargo feels like an insufficient measure. I feel like the league or a regulatory body should have the power to force an owner to sell (after sufficient chances and warnings) and not only that but sell a complete club including all existing infrastructure. The transfer embargo does not punish an owner in any way, just the club. This also applies to point deductions.
Just my thoughts anyway.
We were undoubtedly in trouble just after the Sheffield lads turned up. They inspired the team game one…..we all expected the following week for an influx of the same to get us up the League, and the NOTHING in red on the site, breaking news….think then was when it happened!Boywonder2 has provided accurate information in the past, Shrimpet Steve hasn't. Boywonder2's silence in the past week (when they are usually quick to dispell financial rumours) is what got a lot of people worried, we've probably been in trouble for longer than a week but Ron has likely been stringing along club employees for a while as well to stop our troubles leaking.
Quite possibly true, and we carried on employing more management staff after that!We were undoubtedly in trouble just after the Sheffield lads turned up. Rons robbed peter to pay another paul. Then if I was Tom i'd be calling Patrick into my office asking where is the money for HMRC and what have we spent it on, why has it not been budgeted for.
I do wonder if Patricks job is to manage the clubs finances or just go to Ron with the begging bowl asking "please sir, I want some more" when the big bills come in.
I’d be more concerned we can’t pay a bill that should in theory be smaller to be honest...I’d be interested to know how much is owed HMRC. There is no way we’d have been able to rack up a VAT bill to the level (£500k was it?) that was owed before, given that we had little to no income for the first half the year.
The question is then, is it a small comfort that the bill is unlikely to be as daunting as before. Or is it even more concerning that we are unable to pay what I can only assume is a much smaller bill?
Inclined to agree. Although I suppose if the bills smaller then it will make it a bit easier to scramble around and find some funds to keep the club limping on for another few months.I’d be more concerned we can’t pay a bill that should in theory be smaller to be honest...
These hires were about getting the right structure in place longer term. Probably there is/was a belief that the embargo either wasn't going to happen or would be dealt with relatively quickly.Do you not think that it was the CEO’s decision to hire numerous staff members recently? I’m pretty sure he would have known about our precarious situation long before he sanctioned those hires.
