Supporters Group News New Group Statement 28/02/23

Excuse my ignorance, but how has Ron not been declared bankrupt. he literally owes thousands and thousands of pounds left right and centre. How does the man even live?
Also, I think it is illegal for a limited company to trade while being insolvent?

Having read the full article why would there be a quote from a SUFC representative? Still sounds like it’s a club related matter which RM has run a debt up on 🤷🏻‍♂️
Could be that he is a personal guarantor for the club (or any other business) in the engagement letter, could be a personal debt.

L hopes he can get the Embargo

Blackpool's situation was very different. Their owner was allegedly pocketing the rich proceeds of the club's rise to the Premier League and leaving the team starved of investment.

We don't have any money and Ron isn't pocketing anything, the biggest issue is he doesn't have enough money to keep the club going.
Whilst he may not have enforced payment of rent, he pockets rent annually for a stadium and training ground that the club once owned, to the tune of £450k and often charges a "management consultancy fee" of £300k for kindly submitting (or not as the council claim) planning permission for a stadium the club still won't own.

He also stands to pocket all the profit from the club's former land assets. So whilst we cannot prove right now that he has enriched himself via the club, he certainly stands to when he realises all of this.

We as fans need to push for:

1. a fan representative on the board
2. a statement from the club regarding what is going on inc what is stopping the embargo being cleared
3. the missing information to be provided to the council to get this stadium moving along.
4. understand Rons plan - when he is going to leave, if he will accept help etc
5. get the accounts up to date
1. I recall this was proposed once, but didn't happen ( i wonder why? ). Plus the current Board have no say in the dictatorship regime the owner has, so it would be a waste of time.
2. When one is finally given, it will as per normal ignore the main reason's why, & give the same old tired reasons as previously.
3. In all probability, the Council must be as frustrated as we all are in the everlasting saga, of what the actual development plan is.
4. Good luck on that one!.
5. Always a first time for everything??. Don't hold your breathe.

Defo worth a pole I'd say. Not sure what the representative number of STs on SZ is, but would be good to see the conscious of support for this would be; even if just a small sample. If there is support, we could broaden to other socials etc?
Goodness are you saying we are going to sacrifice Murkey Mouse!!!!!

reckon that thing being built at Boringwood is paid for by Arsenal.
Fair play to the rich Chairman who has the finance and business acumen to build a partnership with a Premier league giant. We can only dream of such an owner. Embarrassing a tin pot club is outdoing us.

Here lies the problem

Ron may not be pocketing any money now but certainly will be with the development

Their situation is exactly the same - their objective was to remove their owner

How many other national league clubs are in our situation?

The club is dying and there is still passive support

I never knew Ron had bot farms equivalent to the Russian state.

The withholding of season ticket money is quite possibly the best idea I have read on here. Either way the club is ****ed with Ron. We either do down fighting for something we live or passively continue to see it disintegrate.

The truck need to take some collective accountability to follow the Blackpool trusts actions. Dare we are hue that we are in this situation because of the tentative actions so far? Scared of upsetting Ron while he stamps all over us.

No season ticket from me and my family until substantial assurances are gained and someone the fans can trust are in control of this club.

Please all Ron bots bore me later with no one else will do it. Put the club up for sale publicly and let’s see.
Hope you're not referring to me. At AAS we have been campaigning for Ron to leave since about 2008. Nice that finally some others have joined us. Trust me, nobody hates that **** more than me.

My post was simply pointing out our situation is not the same as Blackpool. For what it's worth, I am seriously considering withholding my season ticket money along the lines suggested, but I just happen to not believe a full boycott will work for us.

Respectfully, have you been in the West Stand bar recently to dice with death as the electric cables hang from a leaking roof? I don't think we're in any position to throw stones from our glass house.

I haven't. I'm not allowed to drink anymore, so I stay out of bars where possible.

By the way, me having a joke about a building at a club not affliated with Southend United, doesn't mean I think the neglect of roots Hall is acceptable.

Frankly, the amount of people who seem to have an issue with me having a joke about a tiny little team with the 2nd lowest attendance in this league is a bit ****ing weird.

Respectfully of course.

If that melt became a shareholder, I'd no longer cry. I'd just laugh.

Remember when we could just talk about football? I don't.

And i'm surrounded by idiots who are Spuds fans and United fans who say they hate their owners despite spending millions on players new stadiums etc. I mean I work in a school, and they are like 12 but I don't care. ;)
